QUOTE(coredumperror @ Mar 29 2011, 07:41) Hmm, I guess I should find a higher level Exquisite, if you're finding it so easy to get 300 levels into a single item. My highest one is over a year old, and is thus only lvl 187
What difficulty level do you do arenas on with nothing but Holy spell spell?
It's pretty simple on normal-heroic. A bit more trickier on nightmare, since you have to replace spamming tier 1 spells with tier 2 spells (too much HP on mobs, not enough 1hit KO's) Start out, use magic missile on the first rounds (few mobs, no mini-bosses usually and they don't hit hard) whenever CM proc's, whack them with your stick for ET. Then once again with MM (or as I do, use the cheapest spell that they are most resistant to so you don't one-shot them) until channeling proc's. Get Arcane Meditation. Repeat with Regen II, then Spark of Life. Then feel free to use the (insert tier 1 AoE spell here)+(insert another tier 1 AoE spell here) combo. Once Regen II falls below 30 turns, keep your eye out for CM'ed mobs after you drop your first nuke. Get channeling, rinse, repeat with AM and SoL. I can pretty much go the first 150 rounds with no potions. Try to go as low as you can, up until you're completely dry out of mana. Usually you end up getting second wind and mana gems and you can restore your MP (if you are really lucky) from 10 to 1000 lol. After the mobs stop dying from your 2 nukes, start using tier 3 spells. I do my arenas on normal atm. I lose some, but I get my prof's up and that's really what I'm more interested atm. With that said, It's still pretty tough. I can go through the 70 round arena with my regular gear without using any potions. With holy, I have to use 4-8 potions, depending on how many channelings I get.

Not quite what I meant, I'll clarify:
Do the following add mulitplicatively or normally?
- Attack Damage Multiplier stat (ie: Dual Wield + multiple Power Armor) - Magic Damage Multiplier stat (ie: Staff + multiple Battlecaster Armor) - Elemental Damage Bonus stat (ie: Staff + multiple Phase Armor)

They add, the only % stats that add btw.

Since infusions, gems, elemental spike spells all have the same buff, do they all get the weapon Attack Damage Multiplier bonus?
Does Infusion of Gaia boost Soul rating?

Nope, infusions only. QUOTE(Ballistic9 @ Apr 2 2011, 01:36) Does Infusion of Gaia boost Soul rating?
Yes, but that rating increase doesn't increase Eth's dmg. (But the +100% mdm does of course)

Does the power tank training affect the +x% EXP effect from auras? For example, all the normal auras have that +7% EXP / power effect.

Nope, Power only affects your ability to grant karma to people on the forum, and very slightly increases the power of your spirit attack in HV. Anything that affects power only affects those two things.

Ah... So it's actually + 7% EXP & Power, not 7% EXP per Power. Thank you.

So I'm looking through my list of equipment, looking at what I should keep to sell, and what I should just vendor. But I realized: I have no idea the threshold for "good enough to sell" is any more.
So I'm hoping some of you guys could help me put together a rough "gear with this much of this stat is potentially valuable" list. Like, how good does a rapier's PA proc need to be to be worth selling? How much proficiency bonus on a piece of cloth is worthwhile? Stuff like that.
Obviously I'm not a godlike lvl 250+ player (I'm level 182 at time of this posting), so the gear I pick up will need to be considered from that point of view. I bet cmal's gear scaling calc would be really useful, since you high level guys know about how good "worthwhile" gear is for your own level, and you could scale that down to the 180s using the calc.

The Maximum Stat Discussion Thread is a good place to start. I'm mostly in the dark about melee stuff myself, although the wiki has been pretty helpful.

Honestly, do what I do: Select 1 piece per specific equip that is the best out of everything you have. Say, pick 1 out of all the "gossamer shoes of the elementalist" you have that is the best. Keep that equip. Now find one that is crap. You know, all that equip that has barely above average stats. You can pretty much tell that even not knowing the base stats. Sell that shit to the bazaar. Everything in between - auction. Either way you are gonna sell them. If no one bids on them -> bazaar food. Because you can't even begin to guess wtf the public is thinking. I put up some shit on sale, and people bid on all the shit I think is pretty much worthless and leave the good shit untouched. One equip can be worth 150k one day, 20k the next (not a joke, an actual thing) Shit is just unpredictable This post has been edited by (Cheater) KamuiSeph: Apr 2 2011, 17:10

Back when I played a lot, I was a total AH fiend. I could make thousands of gold in a day, or a couple dozen gold, selling the same stuff. It all depended on supply and demand, which is virtually impossible to predict. Thanks for reminding me of that. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

QUOTE(Sayo Aisaka @ Apr 2 2011, 17:38) Can I also remind you of the Ask the Experts thread? Since that's more suited to most of the questions you've been asking here. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Oh yeah, good point!

I lost a match int he battle arena because I didn't know I had to increase my stats with all that XP I had.
How long is cooldown? I hope I don't have to wait a long time because I made a novice mistake, Also, I can't seem to buy items. How do I do that? There's a lot about the hentai verse that I don't understand. I also want to know how do I save changed in my settings.

The "cooldown" expires at the "Dawn of a New Day" event every twenty-four hours. To buy items, select the quantity you want and the click the "accept" button which is sometimes hidden at the bottom of the screen. You have to put the cursor on the right side of the screen and scroll down. You save setting by clicking the "apply settings" button on the bottom of the settings screen. I'm having a hard time leveling up. It simply takes too long. I can't do anything it seems. If I lose in the arena I have to wait until the dawn of a new day. The only place I can seem to do is grindfest and item world. The EXP from the monsters are pitiful and I just haven't been able to level up.
What can I do to speed it up? There's just so much to do. My HV character is really weak. I am at about level 18 from basically signing in for the past two years and not doing much. My stats are ehhh.
I can do damage but half the time my attacks miss, or my spells are resisted. How does one become successful at this? This is just frustrating.

Making 10~20 posts per day will roughly double your EXP gain. There's even a place for it: Spamhaus.

Is there a cap on the base statistics of our characters ? My endurance is now 296, can it go above 300+ ? Thanks.
