Does it show failed? I cannot easily test this, but it is probably because I have made some unusual edits to the code and put it in ignore-failure mode so that it is quicker to retry these galleries. As I stated in the first post, this is intentional at the moment.

EDIT: I'm not sure if it's Tampermonkey screwing with it somehow but I just tried it using Custom JavaScript and it worked for a second. Now I need to figure out how to get passed this "Mixed Content" alert.

If you get a 404 error, there is a problem between your computer and the site. However, as I stated, the script is in ignore-failure mode, so it will keep trying. I am preparing a proper, normal mode release, so please just wait for it.

You do not need to do all that to enable mixed content, just read what I wrote. It will only take you like 2 clicks to enable it on Chrome.

Some troubleshooting information for persistent loading state:

Assuming you have not made unnecessary edits to the code, I can list a few possible reasons but the list is not exhaustive:

1. You have not enabled mixed content. If you can download archives via standard means but not this script, then I think this is the most likely cause. If you are having problems here, this post for Chrome and this thread for Firefox might help. Firefox seems to be a lot more problematic and I might install and test it myself.

@rraven314 : I need more descriptions. Do the individual download buttons say "done", but the corresponding galleries did not actually get downloaded? Are these missing downloads torrents or archives?

Umm the only possible reason I know is the bad internet connection problem I mentioned in the descriptions, which can randomly stop an actual file download.

Wait, you are right. I had a look again and the Chrome console message you provided earlier does not include the sentence that says the request was blocked, so it actually went through. There seems to be some other problem that is stopping it from working and I do not know why. Please try the proper version after I release it in a few hours. It might work better.

Well, that is why I stressed it was my private userscript. Before I released it, I was the only user who knew and could control everything, so it was easy back then. Now this script has thousands of users since this thread has garnered 13,861 views, and things are getting difficult, mainly because I am not a real coder and also cannot debug remotely.

Since servers were overloaded, I got this error over and over again for MANY galleries. Now those galleries are unavailable to me and I've dumped likely around 150kGP into 142+ galleries. I know the site keeps track of archives you've paid for but have not downloaded, as when you reload the archive download page, it says the archive is free until you actually download it. (You can also cancel for no refund (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) )

With this is mind, and since many of us can no longer access 99% of the galleries where this is the case, what are the chances that we can get refunds for the archives we've paid for but have not downloaded?

I see. Was just curious if it might have been possible for a quick fix so this could be done for everyone quickly rather than on a case by case basis like you sending me credits. If there's no widely applicable solution though, there's no solution.

Edit: Why don't you just use these then? I do not think I will add that, because there are already a number of scripts and applications to do that and keep things very organised, like the ones you mentioned. I cannot write anything superior to these, so I am not gonna do it. It is a much better idea to use these established solutions and at least some of them can add metadata post-download.

As I expected, you are just saving the gallery URLs. This might be pointless and unusable because it has a number of critical problems:

1. I am very unsure now after a bit of testing, but I think gallery tokens might change independently? If this is true, your download records can potentially all become invalid and this would render your code useless and misleading. I am not sure, though. <- Edit: Ah I nevermind. This is silly. Of course tokens cannot change independently.

2. You will definitely still have duplicate downloads due to gallery updates, since their GIDs, tokens and URLs will change for sure.

3. If I remember correctly, Web SQL support is being dropped or has been dropped, so your code may be unusable for a lot of users and perhaps more so in the future.

I have ideas, but they either involve misuse of gallery features or have limitations, so I could not add anything. Also, I just realised I missed some details in the readme. When I said it is not possible to keep permanent download records, I was talking about recording them using star ratings, which was suggested and answered in the quote below. I have removed that paragraph from the readme, since it is not very relevant anyway.

One other minor suggestion if you feel like it: an option (could just be commented out) to rate any downloaded galleries and skip any rated ones as a sort of ghetto "permanent download indicator". Won't work for everyone, but I've been using "just give it 4 stars" as a way to note to myself what I've already saved. Not like ratings matter much anymore (well, not that they have ever mattered that much).

I cannot add this, because:

1. This is not safe. Because ratings probably apply to gallery chains, updated galleries will keep this permanent download indicator and the script would then skip them. Therefore you will miss all updated galleries. Adding them to favorites will not work either.

2. This is misuse. It is not how the ratings are supposed to be used so, having manned this help desk subforum for two or three years, I would avoid this and try not to make the ratings more inaccurate.
