Why do so many go with charged?

because it's another way to boost firepower. the difference is between hitting the same amount of times but stronger or more times but with the same force as usual.

Just for PFUDOR arenas, Monsters are too weak (compare with PFfest and PF-IW)
So, charged's effect is unobvious in your level for arenas.

If you often play PFfest or deep in GF, charged prefix is good choice. (your consumables like Scrolls, Restoratives will reduce)

just wondering, how important is Resist for a mage? an unmissable stat or something that if comes it's good, otherwise not worth mentioning? i mean, if i uprade WIS i'm more interested in MP tank or in Resist?

Haven't got around to adding damage taken to my log tracker yet, but i was checking how many spell attacks i actually eat and what got me killed on IWFest the last time.
As it turned out, it does have its place in PFUDOR i guess, with mobs casting spells while still casting imperil, for IW and lower it really isn't that noticable as mobs die before they can gather enough MP/SP. In IW+ ItemWorld and IWFest+ you'll already start triggering SS for normal attacks (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

@DJNoni: Just curious, for me in deep fests i spark and trigger SS for normal attacks already, so skills don't contribute that much (it's gonna eat SP anyway, so, meh), is this different for you? (Just looking for more things to aim for (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif))

I don't really understand your question, I'm sorry. What do you mean with skills? Is it the skills that monsters use? In that case, I don't see what's hitting me. Deep into PFfest, I need scroll of swiftness + shadows + protection and then I can cast 1 or 2 imperils without cure. Then the last 100 rounds I really can't cast 3 imperils and I cast 1 or 2 imperils, kill what has been hit, and then imperil the rest and subsequent finish them off. Most of the rounds I see Spark. I use scroll of life, which restores health.

I haven't tried my new charged cap yet on PFfest, but I hope that it will reduce some spark of life. Speed bonus is now 21%

HV changes continuously, for the little that i know. a few patches ago 1H was bad and 2H was reelly good, for example.

what i can tell you (and has been said by other staff members as well, so nothing really new) is that a new update isn't so near. 0.85 is still being developed since tenboro is busy with many things.

This game is badly rigged balanced, if i have to change class and equip to be able to do anything this is absolutely true and unconfutable.

I bought my first star only for the extra images in galleries and for the archiver and the second one for the same.

I got the third for Hentaiverse cause it give a bonus and i forgot one important things: Paying too much on a game is bad, always, expecially if the bonus are really low like the one you get here (30k credit and GP and 10 hats each day? It is ok if you can play without having to buy thing in forum otherwise they are pretty crappy).

So this is what i decided:

1) I will not complete the transaction of 8500 hats for a gold star, is not worth it (i was already aware of that, the 7K hats payed normally on forum are just a joke, a decent amount will be the double).

2) I have deleted all my monsters, when i get 1000 Happy pills i will remake them an let them at lower stats to hunt new players (this will probalby never happen so no more monster, another thing i don't have to think for).

3) I will not change class, in every game where DW is possible i play that because i like it, if the game don't let me do everything with this build well, fuck the game.

The thing that make me sad is that i realized my mistake too late and costed me 220€ for nothing.

i already told you that with DW you can do everything. you only need to replace Leather with Shade armors to have more firepower and survivability and forge them a bit. if you like DW, nobody forces you to replace it. i can assure you that with 65% Evade and 89% Parry at times you can even forget about casting Regen - not so often but yep, it can happen (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

It really depends on how rich you are and what staff you're using. The important thing is to get to 0.68-0.70 prof, from any slot; I don't think which slot matters much.

For rich players at 500 with prof perk and near-Peerless prof stats on gears using Willow (Elec or Wind), if the prof equip you get will be forged to 50, then cap alone gets you closest to 0.69 prof IIRC. If some prof stats aren't close enough to Peerless, you might get pants instead.

If someone isn't going to forge all the way to 50, they might use a robe instead (maybe forge to 30-something to get full prof). Or if someone's really poor and doesn't have the prof perk either, they might get a combination of two lesser slots like shoes and gloves.

There's also the issue of element/staff type. Willow staff users need more prof to get to 0.69 than redwood staff users, and Elementalist staff users need less prof than other staff users, of course.

This is all assuming Imperil. If elemental mage doesn't Imperil, they're probably doing it wrong, but still - they would want to get to 1.0 prof and so would need different slot combinations to get there.

But it really depends. I don't think there's a one-size fits all solution.

I think it's almost completely useless, because magical damage is something like 1% or less of incoming damage, and because spells are almost always resisted 50% (often 75%) anyway. I never even bothered to forge resist to 5 on any of my gears, though maybe I should since it costs nothing.

Well, for me, at least. (I only play IWBTH GF, not PF. In PF, monsters charge special attacks faster, so it might be different)

Not every game lets you throw together whatever setup you feel like using and lets you perform well as a result. (and if it's not the sort of thing that works, it's generally pretty easy to figure out beforehand by asking around)

In HV (and in most games I like), the research is the fun part, at least for me - the grind is more boring part.

(IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Now I'm waiting for the Easter event, then hopefully will be spending time on something better until the next year or a new major patch. My used up in one day luck should probably recharge by then.

you can still play DW and enjoy the game. just look for some nice DW gear. who knows... maybe T will add more crowd control to DW one of these days. it can still do everything.

Is this an appropriate place to ask if the gear I pick up is worth anything? I've been around for a while, disappearing every once in a while when I get too busy, really started getting into the game about 2 years ago. I've bought and sold mats just fine, but I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to selling equipment. I have a list of gear with links ready to put somewhere, just didn't want to put a big post here if there's a more suitable place for it. I don't have too much forum interaction so I'm usually afraid to ask questions about anything other than buying stuff.

Basically, you send a MM to an auctioneer with the gear attached, and they auction it, send it to the buyer, and they send you the profit (minus a small fee for higher value gears).
