IIRC when I first attempted the schoolgirl arenas I didn't have black aura or IA3, and my gear wasn't as good as it is now. IA3 really helps with reducing buff recasting, especially if you need to ET. Plus I was doing the whole slow+weaken+bewilder+poison+nerf thing every round, and that ate up a lot of mana. Took around 30 min to finish with all the ET-ing.

Basically how it works is you cast magic missile once, hold down recast until CM appears, melee the mob until ET procs, hold down recast until CM appears again, wait until current ET expires then melee again until ET procs, repeat. Do the same with Soul Reaper to regen spirit.

I was wondering at which point gaining new levels becomes slower/harder.
Up till now I've been getting at least one level a day. I have gold aura, 5 other active auras (soon 6) and 92x Adept learner. I will get black or white aura around Christmas I guess.

if so, you probably need a few more pack rats.

Okay, I keep seeing people talk about things like max EDB and such, and have no idea what it is. How exactly do you guys tell if a piece of equipment is considered good?

I need a Slaughter Void Estoc, that for sure >_<
So, lvl220, 240, 260 etc arenas consist of these schoolgirls aswell?

i have a question, dont you get any ability bar at lvl 120 ?
i have 12 bar's to use my ability's in, like i did in lvl 119 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Does it only protect you from a single fatal attack? Or all fatal attacks on the turn you get hit?

Yes. SP will be deducted when spark of life triggers. If you don't have enough SP, it will fail.

So say you have 700 HP, and you get hit with damage in this particular order on the following turn:

300 damage
500 damage
200 damage
800 damage

Would SP be deducted only once, or 3 times?

Spark is only effective for a fatal blow and only works once.

So basically, it would stop working after the second hit, and you'll still die anyway, provided the HP that spark of life gives does not let you tolerate the remainder of the attacks. Correct?

i have yet to die during the same turn spark triggered. i believe spark stops all other attacks for that turn

I'm wondering because I now have a tendency to die like an idiot when 3 or more giants decide to all use their specials on the same turn. It's happened more than 3 times today, and a few times yesterday as well.

Edit: I'm also still looking for some guidance on my current stats. I've upped my Endurance to 110 + 4 since then, with rather minimal effects. The screenshots are on page 406.

actually. i'm not sure about whether spark *really* stops all attacks for the turn but w/e, i'd use spark anyways until spirit shield becomes available. it's pretty useful especially when you're running up against giants etc. you might also want mana bars to dictate who you attack first (just an idea)

your original set up was what i was telling MiAla about. scythe + shade = why? most scythe users tend to rely on bleed (from what i can tell). shade isn't exactly synergistic with bleeding enemies to death imo

if you're on a budget and want high mitigation, keep an eye out for high protection *leather* gear. they can go pretty high and are dirt cheap

@roadgray if you have good gear/auras etc, leveling is easy at 80+. weaker your gear for your level, longer it'll take to level. what happens with a lot of players is their "leveling" set gets outdated and they end up stuck on a difficulty for a while that doesn't generate enough exp for levels
