Just checked your shop though so yay- didn't know there was anything under the million range on there, there are pages of people selling legendaries and I gave up after looking at the top 10 or so shops, figuring everything was way too rich for my blood.

oh, well, it's only something i would bazaar anyways, so i'm only trying to make the most possible credits out of it. albeit cheap, very often it's still more than what i'd take from bazaar, so everybody happy i'd say (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Only one problem; I got the shit kicked out of me. It was bad. I don't mean like broken bones bad, I mean like someone get a squeegee bad. 1h I can just about manage IWBTH on, but 2h's reliance on evade / parry for avoidance made it hard for me to get past Nintendo without risking being outright splattered. The 2nd 2h skill did pathetic damage and eventually I just gave up on that strategy entirely in favor of getting my proficiencies up for 1h/heavy. 1h really seems to be the only workable option for melee - 2h would need to hit about 1.5x as hard in order to get the clear speed to the point where you could mitigate damage through offense. Maybe it's different when you get 2h parry at 250, but then 1h gets 1h block #soyeah.

no, not really. nowadays, 2H is viable only at the start or for very low difficulties. 1H is good especially when you start to build more prof (lv170+ ?), while DW is still somehow viable whenever, even though it requires some nice gear.
big matter of mace is that you *have* to kill most enemies possible before they wake up, otherwise you'll be in big trouble.
but still, you're playing at a too high difficulty for your level. keep IW for REs only to farm EXP and do arenas at hell/nintendo, at least you will bring home some credits

Lower the difficulty some. On Battletoads the monsters will do 2x damage instead of 2.5x damage (quite a big difference) as well as having less HP.

I had the same experience with Freeshop. For those who would like to get decent gear ASAP and play HV, Freeshop can take too long (they're run by only a couple volunteers after all).

(IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Attributes could be twice or 3 times higher.. still, there's a fundamental problem with the style compared to 1h - even high level players can have trouble on high difficulties if they aren't using 1h. Block is just so much better.

this is only due to the fact that 1H is absurdly buffed and 2H is absurdly broken. probably, if 2H could build even 1% OC for every successful splash hit...

For example when I got one yesterday I checked the ring of blood screen and it said "You have 1 tokens of blood" and today it's gone. (And this is by far not the first time this has happened)

Ring of Blood is the only way to redeem them, they are not sellable or tradeable. You may have found a bug, try get some screenshot evidence.

Btw. Is where something like calc of equip? D be intresting to check overall stats from different sets. I d count that in excel, but a its a bit long and soon new patch coming. I mean full complect.

for better results you should invest on what a monster is already strong to begin with: for example STR and END for a giant or AGI and INT for a celestial; as for mitigations, raise as much as possible what the monster is weak against

Grindfest gives very little money but a decent amount of experience and the arena challenges give okay money but take too long for the payoff. Any tips?

Once you can play the 55-100 round arenas on high difficulty, you'll be able to earn quite a good sum of money each day, and can save up and buy nice equips every few days (if you wish). However, to be able to do that, you need to both meet the level requirement and have enough power and toughness (which comes primarily from leveling up, rather than equipment, at least before level 250 or so). So your main goal right now should be experience.

Like mozilla said, check out Freeshop and you can get a set that should be good enough until level 150+ or so (or more if you get 1h/heavy equipment).

Even the Bazaar can sometimes have cheap worthwhile equipment in stock (upgrades for a newish player), though you have to get lucky or check often.

If I were you I'd train Pack Rat as much as possible with first clear bonuses, allowing you to play on higher difficulty / finish arenas quicker without Focus, helping you get to a higher level faster, which will give you the power to earn lots of credits normally, so you can buy equipment. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) A bit convoluted, but that's probably the most efficient way.

Thank you all. I'll try to request a new item set for my character. I've trained my character in DW so a 2H weapon would be counterproductive, I think. Pack Rat is kind of expensive but I can see how it could be useful. I definitely rely on potions during longer battles, though my Cure isn't too bad either.

Until you're completely satisfied with your current gear (or until potential upgrades cost many millions), yes, probably give up on costly monster lab upgrades until you have tons of credits just lying around.

There's no reason to delete the monsters - better to just stop feeding them crystals and give them cheap happy pills instead if morale is low and all crystal upgrades cost a bit more than you're willing to spend.

I'm not sure about Slaughter, but probably so. I've gotten quite a few expensive materials/bindings from my 25-60 PL monsters, but no Slaughters yet.

Until you can buy many millions of credits worth of crystals, your monster won't be appearing in battle regularly, and you probably won't see much of a difference. Lots of very low level monsters are much more cost efficient in terms of credits.

currently, I'm inactive in HV. the most I'll do is a few RE + feeding my monsters. though, I find low lvl guys lv25-100 do bring worthwhile stuff. of course, mostly, you'll get 1 LG mats once a week, but once in a blue moon, you'll get a CP/RA/DMM/Slaughter/etc. it's a great enough passive income to sustain all my hentai downloads, especially, when happy pills/food is relatively cheap.

ps. a monster need to be at least lv25 to participate in battles/bring gifts.
pps. even with PL1000 with max upgrades, you'll rarely get great gifts.

Seeing as how I'm getting close to being where I want proficiency-wise I figured I should ask.

For someone who is going to be purely a physical fighter (Not going to cast any offensive spells, only cure, haste, heartseeker buffs etc) I plan on using Niten Ichiryu as it seems to be the most effective and powerful fighting style. My question is as follows:

Would sticking with Shade be a better option then switching to full Power armor? I'm currently rocking full shade, but I've been debating switching to power armor for awhile, but not sure if it's worth it.
