Unless you know what you are doing, don't wear leather. It isn't good.

I'm not partial to Heavy Armor since it doesn't give any agility bonus, and it has such high burden. Plus, it always costs so much in the bazaar and I rarely get equipment drops.

For now I want to aks for some general advice on what I need for fights against legendaries.
Since my last post here I've improved my equipment (now 34.xish evade), bought some more ability points, I'll reach 10k per AP soon. And I'll have raised my Deprecating to 90 and start leveling Supportive until next week.
My goal of beating Endzone was met, so I guess I was partly successful thanks to your advices. However. I completely failed at my first legendary attempt. (And I'm talking about Mikuru.)

You could try reading the How do I beat a Legendary? thread... but it is getting quite long. Well, you should be able to beat Mikuru, Ryouko and Yuki a number of ways at your level, but I think the most effective is the two pronged DW method:

Main hand: Axe with good BW chance/damage (the one you posted before should do nicely).
Off hand: Rapier with high PA proc chance.
Armor: High evade and/or physical mitigation. Cloth good, heavy bad. Light not really recomended unless it's the best thing you've got.

Keep the target Poisoned at all times, but try to cast it when PA procs if you can, in order to maximise the damage.

You'll need Spark of Life as insurance against Spirit Attacks. With Mikuru and Yuki, you can use Absorb as a first line of defence (remember to Bewilder them too), but with Ryouko you just have to hope she misses... Take a Spirit restorative or two to the fight, obviously.

...and I just looked at your stats. I really hope you got your END and WIS up, otherwise you'll be in trouble no matter what strategy you use...

I've only encountered 2 legendaries so far, myself. I did beat them both, but I would prefer to encounter them more often lol. Too bad I can't do any ring of blood yet cause of level, and not having the tokens

My Rapier has 20% and is 2-turn but it RARELY triggers the PA against Konata & Mikuru.. I think it triggered 3 times in a 180 rounds battle against Konata. And just as bad in the fight against Mikuru.

I've switched to cloth only. Silk and Phase with high evade. (only 34.x though) Still working on getting my hands on better stuff.

As for the strategy I tried (dual wield; axe + rapier:
DMG & debuffs: Poison, Bleeding Wound, Bewilder, Weaken
Buffs: Haste, Spark of Life, Shadow Veil

I ran out of mp pretty soon and got obliterated. Got her to drop to 50% HP.

As for END and WIS, Yes I worked on my WIS stat. It's all more balanced now. Though I think END is only +1 more than before.

No you didn't.

You could always try the Super Spirit Attack to take a chunk of HP off, if you've got the items and slots to spare. Or Add the Mini Blast tactic to your strategy.

He might have beaten them in Grindfest or Item world. Of course, one in the Ring of Blood would tear him apart without breaking a sweat.

I know about the miniblast tactic. I think it's the idea of using even 1 SP spirit attacks cuz they do more damage than normal attacks.
But I can't say I'm familiar with the former. Super Spirit Attack? All I can think of is flower vase or something.

At best, PA procs 20% of offhand hits. At best, your offhand hits 50% of your hits. So, at best, it procs every ten hits. I've never had it come close to that.

But I can't say I'm familiar with the former. Super Spirit Attack? All I can think of is flower vase or something.

Its a lolsemantics thing. He said "legendaries", not "bosses". You can't fight Legendaries outside of the Ring and Arenas. And they'd probably tear a lowbie several new assholes.

I've fought legendaries in IW. Not recently, but I've fought them.

I've gotten them through the legacy system.

My mistake, they actually were bosses. I fought Mithra and Manbearpig both in IW. On another note, whats better in Heavy armor, Chainmail or Plate? I assume plate, but I thought I'd still ask.

For those of you who have fought this battle as both Mage and Warrior, which setup was easier for you -and, perhaps more importantly: what Equipment setup did you employ in each instance??

(I am also asking questions because, even though I'm in all Cloth and a Mage right now.....an increasing number of the monsters are getting in Double Hits all of a sudden, and for no apparent reason that I can think of. They're starting to hurt.) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

If by God, you mean Legendary, then you are right.
