It will help some, especially against the Hamster, Ghost, and the TenMon but, the Burden may slow you down too much.

I noticed the only thing heavy armor is useful is cake IW/Fest grinding, for everything else its useless. It was fantastic at around level 20-30s where even the monsters on normal grind fest hit me for 0, now at 50 they just hit to much and having interference = inability to debuff which means you lose!

Are heavy armor completely useless at higher levels or do they miraculously get better?

some tips onHow do I beat a Legendary?, and some person can beat them without bewilder. bewilder is a important factor for beat boss, but that only for MBP cuz Global warming is magical attack, so if you don't put bewilder, you will The End. if not use bewilder, bring Scroll of Gods so you'll survive their SP attack. PA + SP attack, and PA + poison also important for beat them. weaken them so their attack can't hurt you more.
for your gear, I think that don't have a elemental mitigation if you use scroll of gods(if not use scroll of gods & bewilder, use 1 piece that has elemental mitigation). reference : see this.
for 1st attempt, don't choose MBP. reason : his SP attack is strong. the others is all of you.
that's all that I know, maybe the others can give more (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Get rapier with high proc chance. Get good nimble offhand. Most ppl use dagger b/c it has the most parry and the least burden, but I came across a good nimble rapier. Make sure you have 5 points in both weaken and bewilder. Bringing those items is overkill. All you need is 2 scroll of life (probably one use) which you'll trigger immediately, followed by some hp draughts (you don't have regen so I don't recommend mana items) and then finally a soul draught. You probably don't need the soul draught. It took 1 full overcharge spirit attack (yours is stronger b/c you have more power) and 1 cast of poison with penetrated armor to beat him. Manbearpig has the least hp of all the bosses.

Well I completely botched Manbearpig because I forgot I unequiped my ideas for grinding. But I went after a Dalek and came out on top.

And I got this for the voice box.

The Bosses in RoB are quiet easy to defeat, when you use a scroll of the gods and a scroll of the avatar!
I wonder if this strategie will be enough to beat Konata?

Actually tbh spark of life was a waste, haste/veil + weaken/poison is all your need. A full charged bar unbuffed with bubblegum/flower vase takes out over 70% of its maxhp :|. Hope the legendaries provide some sort of challenge...

honestly konata is like boss with more HP, and SP attack. put 1 piece thunder-child equipment, and you'll fine or not use if you can avoid her SP attack (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (use scroll of Gods if you want). but from Mikuru, Ryouko, and Yuki, I'm not sure mage style on low level can beat them. they have more HP, SP attack, and speed than konata(slow sometimes useful with them, and PA + Poison will be more important for help decrease their HP cuz PA + SP attack won't affect). well, try if you can do that. good luck for them (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

if you want some reference of them (their HP or more tactic), see on How do I beat a Legendary? .

honestly to use bubble gum/flower vase just for beat boss is more waste than use scroll of Gods(according the price, and 'rare').

Boss and Legendary 2 cents:
Bosses are small time compared to Legendaries. Konata is an overglorified Boss. Mikuru is a bit tougher. Ryouko and Yuki will kill you if you go in thinking they're like the previous two. They are much more resilient than the others and are much more powerful. PA is pretty essential if you're going in melee, and doesn't hurt if you're maging (at least at low levels since you don't have enough "experience" with magic to deal the assload of damage Boggy, Sayo and the other high-level mages demonstrate).

My stuff:
I have two pants, my old Kevlar and a new pair of Dragonhide. Suffix bonuses aside, they're mostly the same with some minor differences in certain stats. I'm thinking of keeping my Kevlar on, but I want some second opinions. Relevant base stats are as follows.

Kevlar

I wouldn't suggest that anyone try killing the legendaries as a pure mage (meaning with staff in hand) until they get Nerf at 150. While it is doable, it would take too long and expose you to too many Spirit Attacks

Ignoring the Magic bonus from the Dragon Hide, it seems that the issue is whether the reduced Physical Mitigation and specific damage type mitigations are worth the reduction in interference. With stats, proficiencies, and title bonuses, I doubt the difference is more than 2%. So, yeah, maybe the Kevlar is better under those circumstances.

I like my pants in comparison to both.

I'm trying to plan ahead (way ahead) for the legendaries, and have heard from enough places that PA is the way to go that i believe it. My question is this: i have two estocs and a rapier, which would be best for a mostly mage player who wants to nuke the legendaries?

battlecaster estoc
http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=6676d34086

better PA chance estoc
http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=e85423860c

some random rapier
http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=b95a867c15

or should i try for a better version of one of those? i got all of them as random drops, and would rather use something i already have than pay credits for something only marginally better. I also plan to IW up the level on the one you all think is the best option, so the levels arent terribly important right now, since i have >10 levels before i can even begin a challenge, and 19 levels before i get bewilder.
