are arena counters like hourly encounters? Ie count from trigger, not exit? I noticed the time, and belatedly remembered I hadn't tried the new arena (sealed power) with the 2 end bosses after hitting 150. Jumped into it, and finished it 1 minute before the new dawn. Would it have been fine as long as I started the session (and not ended) before the arenas reset for the new day? Now to do it again, right after finishing it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by etothex: Apr 1 2012, 02:14

Feel free to test it out next time for us (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

I see that a lot of the higher level players tend to be able to switch at a moment's notice between melee and mage so I'm wondering if they keep their stats balanced so as to facilitate that playstyle swap quickly.

Stats are not *that* important actually. As long as you don't gimp yourself too much, equipments matter much, much more. And those "higher level players" have incredible equips that us normalings will take forever to get.

Yes, I've started arenas and just sat there without fighting before dawn just so I could do it twice in a row.
I'm not sure about hourlies though. I don't think it's completely based on completion of the last one. At least, today, I came across an hourly while tagging but let it sit there for about 30 minutes without starting it, and the next hourly I came across, I only gained about 30 minutes worth of mana back.

When you are at very high level, your personal stats aint as much fluent as your item's stats. I have seen many lvl 300+ players finishing IWBH arena with just Battlecaster gear or simply meleed their way through with mage gear This post has been edited by Coma: Apr 1 2012, 02:39

People have commented on starting an hourly, leaving it open, and doing something else, coming back and finishing it, and immediately doing the next one; assume it counts from being triggered; haven't tried it myself.
Regen 2 is really nice. Only had to cast a spell 2x w/o bothering with protection after the first round to get to round 50ish. Got some lucky channeling, and Spirit stanced bulled through the rounds.

why would you want to do that? no break means no recovery (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Now I only need 1 or 2 greater mana potions. And yes, I just tested this again. Waited almost an hour before starting the hourly, cleared it, and the next hourly started almost immediately.

QUOTE(trikon000 @ Apr 1 2012, 06:55) I got about 25 left on Ability Boost, and all I can say is 100 is not enough.
but throwing artifact to snowflake would be much cheaper at that point QUOTE(Raidy @ Apr 1 2012, 08:53) why would you want to do that? no break means no recovery (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) just because we left it open and forgot about it till last minutes (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by aiwotorimodose: Apr 1 2012, 04:45

Nope. It's exactly one hour form starting the encounter. I've confirmed it as part of testing. https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showtopic=62830

Close enough. I never let enough time pass for it to matter.

Getting only a 1 or 2 every other day and I haven't gotten an ability point from them in several months. Cheaper?, that is just an opinion. I'd rather have the AB number jacked up to 200 or even 300. Most of the high level players already either maxed what they wanted and had AP from the artifacts that dropped like credits several patches back or since the beginning. This is what my week in artifact conversion looked like: [ dl.dropbox.com] hereguess I did get one, thought it was a +stat. This post has been edited by trikon000: Apr 1 2012, 06:09

QUOTE(Trolljain @ Apr 1 2012, 06:00) (IMG:[ img.photobucket.com] http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v288/hoshino_crimsonbutterfly/97stats.jpg) These are my current stats. I saved up about 100k to buy a new weapon, as I know that like all MMOs, weapons make the biggest difference. (Correct me if I'm wrong for HV) What would you guys suggest me to get with that budget? Thanks! Since Dual-Wielding have vast option for weapons, you can mix weapons to see what work for you. For me, I use Club (of slaughter)-Wakizashi (of nimble) style in Arena, this stun-parry combo work very nice so far. Did you mix Heavy and Light armor? Better focus on one armor style, mixing isnt worth the loss of Armor Prof Bonus.

A Good High Level Ethereal Club if want to dual wield. QUOTE(trikon000 @ Mar 31 2012, 21:02) Getting only a 1 or 2 every other day and I haven't gotten an ability point from them in several months. Thanks for the informative reply! +Karma I do mix armors, I've tried using an all kevlar set, but it seems that I take so much more damage, and I don't really notice an increase in evading. Should I just swap to all heavy? Or am I doing something horribly wrong with my light armor?

Make sure it's of protection if your using kevlar. Also try mixing in some shade.
