So I'm thinking it's a little annoying not remembering to check the main page in time for the hourlies, thus let some time pass by and resulting in less REs done a day. So what about a simple script that notifies/reminds us? Basically the script does this: _ When you start an hourly, it reads the page address and recognizes the pattern (http://hentaiverse.org/?s=Battle&ss=ba&encounter=*) _ It then saves the current time (hour and minute) into local storage. _ Then each time any HV page is loaded (character, bazaar, any thing hentaiverse.org/*), it compares the two points of time and displays the remaining time (maybe on the top right corner, but whatever). _ And when the time exceeds 1 hour, it changes to an icon easy to notice (maybe this ). So the user can easily know when to visit the main page for the random encounter. I think it's pretty easy to write this script for all the javascript gurus out there, so anyone have some spare time? Of course if no one is willing, I can write it (but it will take some unnecessary more time and efforts since I'm no js expert).TL;DR: Never miss RE anymore!For any version to work, you must start a random encounter once for it to save the time.EDIT (changelog): 1. First version from sigo8: https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?s=&am...t&p=17716942. Another version from me (modified from sigo8's) When it's not yet time for RE: When it's time (or if you haven't started any RE since installing it) You can even click on Ready and it will navigate to the main page for manual RE starting. Download:
hvrenv1.0.2.user.j.txt ( 1.76k )
Number of downloads: 859(rename it to .js to use, since the forum doesn't allow that extension) 3. An updated version from sigo8, now fixed the problem with countdown starting from the end of battle (it now starts from the beginning) and the timer also counts down too. Link to post: https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?s=&am...t&p=17737984. sigo8's fix which includes a new way to determine the first round of a random encounter, and fixes the glitch in the equipment page: https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?s=&am...t&p=17758005. Small modification from me, which includes a different way of determining the first round (this time I used a toggle flag). Also implemented timer reset at dawn (not fully tested yet)
hvren.1.1.2.user.zip ( 1.08k )
Number of downloads: 46
Bug found. Fixing. Use sigo8's latest version instead. 6. Newest version from sigo8https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?s=&am...t&p=17788527. Another update from sigo8QUOTE Removed dependence on url. Should work as long as you don't make a move before switching bowers. https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?s=&am...t&p=1804491This post has been edited by LangTuTaiHoa: Apr 8 2012, 08:54

Could be useful. I'm fairly consistent about checking every hour or so though but saving even a few minutes can add up.
Wish hourly encounters actually worked though right now. Is anyone else just getting "JuicyAds: This adserver is temporarily offline and will return shortly." ?

Like a few days minimum. I'll get back to you when I'm finished. Won't be too long now.

No way. If I'm making it, it'll just be a simple count down, with a popup dialog when it's time. That's all. No ponies! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

Done. Not thoroughly tested but it should works. It add 3 exclamation marks to the word "BATTLE" the top bar. More accuarly it repaces (IMG:[ g.ehgt.org] http://g.ehgt.org/hv050/img/m/Battle.png) with BATTLE!!!

Thanks a lot sigo8, the fixed one worked fine in chrome. I'm still working on my own version for more eye-candy though (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) QUOTE(cyberwaveIT @ Mar 27 2012, 16:36) So how does it work? Yeah, you have to start RE once for it to log the current time, then it will start working. This post has been edited by LangTuTaiHoa: Mar 27 2012, 13:32

I stuck this in so that the timer doesn't display while I'm entrenched in Battles: CODE else if(location.href.indexOf("s=Battle") != -1) { // Don't display }
Otherwise refreshing that text repeatedly is just jarring. It's not like the notification is needed in-battle. This post has been edited by aeridus: Mar 28 2012, 01:22

I'm still working on how to distinguish the first round of RE from the rest. Since currently the countdown starts at the end of the battle, which can be inaccurate if the delay between the battle start and end (the time you need to finish it) is long.

Damn, you guys really have a lot of time on your hands @_@.
I'm working on mine, but between work and assignments, my hands are tied.
I do have a few cool ideas though.

Somehow this line doesn't work for me QUOTE location = "http://hentaiverse.org/?s=Battle&ss=ba"; Changing it into this worked though QUOTE location.href = "http://hentaiverse.org/?s=Battle&ss=ba"; QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Mar 28 2012, 10:56) Damn, you guys really have a lot of time on your hands @_@.
