That's normal, the Mob's Spirit attack it's different of ours, they can still miss, unlike us.

It's the same as would be with a "normal" attack, so yes, can be blocked, evaded, and parried or resisted. This post has been edited by cmdct: Feb 10 2010, 14:03

That particular attack cannot be parried, but the rest of the defenses do apply.

You right, since it's magical, but I was talking in general, after all the same moves, can't be both parried and resisted (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by cmdct: Feb 10 2010, 18:29

Some question..
- If I use staff, does the proficiency bonus affect my rate of proficiency gains?
- Weapons seem to have different properties even if the stats are identical (2h seem to miss more often than 1h, Axes seem to do more damage than knife, etc) Does anyone know the mechanics behind this?
- Actually, does anyone have any clues exactly how damage calculation works?
- From what it's look like in damage reduction formula.. Absorb >>> Mitigation ? So if damage = 100 and I have 50 Absorb and 50 mitigation = 100 - 50 = 50 >>> 50 - 50% = 25 dmg. Correct?
Thanks

First of all, I advise you to see this to threads first: https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showtopic=18403https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showtopic=21824Also, you can check wiki here: http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Category:HentaiVerseNow about the questions: 1-No. 2-Yes, check the information above. 3-It depends how hard the mob's are hitting you. ex:if they hit you with 400 dmg, mitigation is like 4X absorption, but if they it you with 50 dmg, absorption is like 2x mitigation. The formula is on wiki but you can see here how it works: [(Original Damage Roll- Absorption)*(1- Physical/Magical Mitigation)*(1- Specific damage type Mitigation)]= Damage taken

We need to expand on weapons and armor?

You mean basically taking all the info (well, mostly suffix info) from the first post in the Equipment thread and adding it to the wiki? I see you two were discussing the details, so if we could just decide how/where the info would be displayed, I'd be willing to fill it in (or at least start filling it in, I'm not familiar with all the suffixes, so I can only guess that Alpha7 covered them all).

While you're at it, list what types of equipment each suffix can apply to. That should keep you off the streets for a while. And good luck with what applies to each kind of Staff.

I know I'd need help with Phase. And I think cmal has the best (or the most detailed) idea about the overall display, so I'm not too worried there. I figure as long we cover the basics that most people are familiar with, the specifics that less of us know about can be added later. But that's why I prefer we decide how it'll be done first, so we can hopefully avoid another major reorganization in the near future. Also, is there some staff suffix that you (or anyone else) noticed missing from the first post in the Equipment thread? I'm pretty sure I can pick most of the suffixes that apply to a staff (or the ones I've seen so far) out of the list. But that reminds me: Heimdall is listed there as giving an Electric magic attack bonus. That should be Holy instead, right?

How about copypasta-ing the patch notes to an entry so they're all in one place?

How far back? Some of that stuff is seriously outdated...

You make the call. You could try grouping them together based on version numbers and dump the really old stuff somewhere else.

I have sold a Sword Chuck of Slaughter before. Unfortunately, I don't have an actual equipment link. MoogleMail transaction:

Weapons and armor pages up (link in equipment atm). More of a trial run for the layout than finished product. If you guys like the style we can keep it otherwise we'll have to figure something out. Went for a more Consumer Reports type layout than what Cmal originally had. For the armors, if adding two levels of high and low is deemed necessary for pointing out differences between leather and dragon hide and such, I can do that later. I'm not a caster, so any mage that knows staffs a lot better than me please change the values or pm me to. On a side note, all this wiki'ing has made me wonder, is it supposed to be 'deprecating' or 'depreciating' everywhere in game (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) . Both could work so just wondering....

It looks fine to me. Notes should probably be on the far end of the tables and some copy-edit work needs to be done to make it more consistent with the style of the rest of the wiki. Maybe colorize the symbols to make it easier to "read" at a glance. Does someone have a piece or has Tenboro said it exists?
