QUOTE(Red_Piotrus @ Nov 15 2013, 05:40) Someone wants to buy most of my old HVerse shop items. I don't mind getting rid of that stuff, but it's hundreds of equips; is there a way to sell it in bulk? I am not going to waste my time sending hundreds of mooglemails... Just tested It's not trivial to script: even with a list of equip IDs you would still need a "postkey" hash (probably generated by HV) to insert in the HTTP POST request, to attach the item and to send the message.

Sorry if this kind of question doesn't belong here.
The other day I was playing when suddenly I noticed that I had lost a big chunk of my total hp and mp. I was a bit puzzled about this, so I went to fight and noticed that the spell's costs, duration and effectiveness had also gone down.
My level remains the same, I still have the same abilities and equipment. The only changes I remember doing is taking off a piece of armor (which then I put back on) and training, which I hadn't done until now. I also didn't change the difficulty.
Any ideas about what's causing this?

Maybe you changed equipment sets? Maybe to a set that has no abilities equipped on it?
That's the only thing I can think of that happened.
Can you double check if the abilities are equipped?

Nevermind, I'm an idiot. I had cleared my ability slots. I didn't even know how those worked. It's all good now. Thanks!

There's no upper limit on proficiency. However, your character's base proficiency can never go above your level, though the effective proficiency can be further increased by proficiency from armors. http://ehwiki.org/wiki/ProficienciesThis post has been edited by varst: Nov 20 2013, 12:30

I think that question is better asked in the Ask the Experts! thread. Anyway, your fighting style doesn't matter. In my opinion, there are four things that are important when trying to tackle IWTBH or PFUDOR difficulties: 1. Level. Your level is very important. It detemines what level your de/buffs are. Spirit Shield, Heartseeker, Regen, etc is very important in order to survive. Yes, I'm including Heartseeker. That damage man. Special mention to better potions as well. I think the level in which mages trample on everything start at level 310. I dunno. 2. Proficiency. Were you training your proficiency? This is also very important. 2H proficiency = more damage. Magic proficiency = gold. Just some examples. 3. Training. Did you train Pack Rat yet? More potions = you last longer. Mana potions are the best. Spirit potions are kinda cool. You need them both. You need more slots. Scrolls are good too but those are for people who has huge reserves of scrolls on their arsenals. 4. Gear. Do you have high quality gear? Is it forged? Is it level 10? Questions. Questions. As you can see, two of the above require a huge investment of time and the other two require a huge investment of credits.

Sorry to ask this nooby question, but I have just started the game. What is the elemental spell damage coming from weapons like staff, and prefixes like tempestuous, etc are calculated?

Wind Spike Shield damages with Wind damage but lowers Electro resistance
So If I get weapon which gives +wind damage - will my spike shield hit harder with wind? Or should I get a weapon with electro strike which would hit harder enemies under wind spike shield effect with electro resistance lowered?

Elemental damage bonus coming from staves or from the prefix of weapons increases spell damage by <value>% for that specific element. To see the full formula, you can go to Spell Damage. Note that this only applies to spells, since weapons with <element> prefix deal damage based on the damage done by the initial attack. IIRC Spike Shield deals <element> damage based on the damage done to you (or 5 damage if you parry or something) so getting an <element> suffix weapon would be better. In your case, a weapon with Elec Strike.

QUOTE Unlocking a non-Void weapon's potency to level 10 (Hollowforged) will change it's damage type to Void. will the weapon name change to "Hollowforged" weapon or somehow else change? This post has been edited by Owyn: Nov 22 2013, 23:12

Nah. It retains its name. Here's an example of an equipment that is level 10. As you can see, it is still called "Crude Axe of Slaughter."

Okay, a question (well, two questions actually) from me. It might have been answered somewhere else but I couldn't find it and it appears to be neither here nor in the patch notes threads—and I couldn't find a fresh enough thread concerning this using the search function, so ... .
The first question is, the description of the upgrade to Heartseeker that we can get by spending ability points states that it increases critical damage, but it's just a raw number with nothing to it. Is it simply an increase in percentage points (so the +50% we normally have would go to +53% with the first upgrade), a percent bonus to the damage bonus (so +50% would become +51,5% with the first upgrade), a percent bonus to the total damage done (so that +50% would become +54,5%), or is it something else entirely? I do reckon it is most likely just a flat increase in percentage points (the first option), but I'm a bit curious if it really is that.
The second question is, is the critical rate bonus from Heartseeker affected by burden? It might appear obvious but there is no way to check it in combat (as far as I know) and the equation for critical rate that is on the wiki appears to be missing that part (which likely means it isn't affected but better know than be sorry).

I got a question about the Riddlemaster: Is he really supposed to appear on the hourlies? I had that happen twice in a row to me now, completely missed the first one because I opened the HV window in the background to do the battle later on. Only to be greated with "you lost 1 stamina". It's just a little annoying to know that I have to check the window immediatly instead of being able to wait a few minutes.
