Hello, I wonder if someone could help me with understanding attack speed. I'm trying to calculate my average attacks per turn, but the numbers don't match when using haste. Looking at the release notes of 0.3.5QUOTE(Tenboro @ Sep 6 2009, 17:10) - Haste has been tweaked as follows: -- The base action speed increase has been reduced from 25 to 20 -- The effect of proficiency has been increased. Every ten points of proficiency increases the bonus by 4, for +100 action speed with 200 proficiency. -- There is now a readout on the status effect for how much your action speed is increased.
proficiency in supportive used to increase action speed. Does it still do? The multiplier came out as approximately 0.65 for every ten points of proficiency when I tried to calculate it from observing my attack count (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Thank you for your attention.

QUOTE(varst @ Oct 13 2013, 20:23) That's almost 4 years ago. Refer to this page for latest info. http://ehwiki.org/wiki/action_speedThanks, guess it means there's no gain from proficiency... I did read it before, but thought there might be something more to it since I'm getting in more hits than I should have if there was only +50% bonus from haste. Guess I'll have to recheck my calculations...

QUOTE(Nikiniisama @ Oct 15 2013, 07:31) I have 3 questions. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) 1. as getting legendary equipment or magnificent? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) 2. where are the scrolls of protection and avatar, because I do not find either in the store or killing monsters. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) 3. the difficulty of the game has some influence on the loot at the end of each battle (apart from increasing EXP) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) 1. You mean where to get legendary/magnificent equipment? It's all random from monster battles or shrines offerings. 2. In the store, there are people using Item Bot to buy scrolls of protection and avatar, so I highly doubt you'll see it there. Also, monsters do drop them. 3. Yes, difficulty can influence loots. Refer to the wiki for more information.

i have a question. I put shadow veil in my auto cast slot, and it shows 15% increased evade chance, even when i already register my supportive shadow veil ability (it's supposed to be 24% increased evade chance). I tried removing it from auto cast slot and cast it manually, it still shows 15% chance. I tried to remove the supportive ability and put it on again, and it still shows 15% chance, with or without ability. what went wrong? thank you. btw, I'm level 136 now. 15% should be your character's evade chance, not from shadow veil. Those effect from spells never goes into the stat display. As for description, yes they won't change with your AP input. This post has been edited by varst: Oct 16 2013, 20:35

1. You can reforge infinite times. 2. Yes.

Every time an equipment levels up, it gains a random potency. You don't get to choose which potency you want. You can only have a maximum total of 10 levels of potencies because an equipment has a max level of 10. Each potency has a max level of 5. So if RNG allows it, you could get all sorts of potencies you don't want. The wiki you linked to also says: QUOTE(Item World' date='HV Wiki @ HV Wiki) Except for the Level 10 weapon unlock, there are five levels to each Potency. It is possible to get one level of each, but it is not possible to max every Potency for a given piece of gear. I hope I answered your question.

I think that question is better asked in the Ask the Experts! thread. As for my opinion, I can't give any advice because you're stronger than me. I can only trek the Arena in Hell mode. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Hi, sorry, I just started playing recently and I'm wondering if Intelligence makes Cure/Regen more effective? On the stats page it says QUOTE Every point adds 2 to Magical Damage formula But I'm not sure if "Damage" contributes to heals or not? Also, on the spells page Cure's heal is listed as QUOTE Base health restored = (base_health * AP / 100) * (1 + holy EDB / 100)
But I'm not quite sure what "AP" is in this context. I'm guessing it's not Ability Points?

Unfortunately, Intelligence doesn't improve Cure/Regen.
I think AP means Ability Points that you invested, I dunno. Just use the numbers stated as [damage] in Cure's tooltip in your Abilities list.
Base [damage] is 50 1st Upgrade is 70 2nd Upgrade is 85 3rd upgrade is 100
So with the equation Base health restored = (base_health * AP / 100) assuming we don't have holy Elemental Damage Bonus, Cure will heal you for 50%/70%/85%/100% of your base HP.
Just a reminder that Base HP is your HP before applying any HP upgrades you have in your abilities list.
edit:
^ Oh so it is Ability Points.

QUOTE(tjsdyddl @ Oct 22 2013, 07:42) I have a question.
But I can't clear 225~300arena(IWBTH or PFUDOR) or very long time to clear arena(more than 1H30Min).
How can I solve my problem?
Try element mages, cheap but effective. When the 0.77 nerf holy/dark, element is also a choice for you to fight in SGs.

Sorry if it's a dumb question... but, what is "SGs"? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
