In Random Encounters, I'll do normal attacks until my overcharge is full, then activate Spirit Stance. Something that I've been noticing happening lately is that sometimes overcharge doesn't get used during a turn. Would action speed have something to do with that, or is it a bug?

You still gain OC while Spirit Stance is active, you can gain up to 10% per attack, and lose 10% each turn in spirit stance, sometimes it does cancel out.

You still regain OC even when you're in spirit stance. So for example, if you hit a monster and regain 10 OC, it will cancel out the 10 OC loss for spirit stance.

Is there any way to increase how many credits you're able to earn per battle/round, other than by having 80+ stamina?

Better loot trainings and higher arenas. They don't directly increase it, but more mobs = more cash and more drops = more cash. Hell/Nintendo T&T is something like 10-12k credits alone, not counting drops.

Fair enough. Next question, then: What type of setup(s) would you recommend, just to make sure I survive said higher Arenas at those difficulties (and thus can reap the full benefits thereof)?
(Current setup is DW, all Shade armor, & Support spells only; most of my time so far either spent clearing Arenas at Normal/Hard difficulty (monsters still hit hard enough, often enough, that I've been nervous about trying any higher), or else trying to lvl-up a pair of 1H "of the Battlecaster" swords for the sake of Hollowforged potency – closest I can get to Ethereal, until/unless one happens to drop.)

It's been a while since I paid any attention to the details of HV (for the last couple years I've only fought hourly battles). So when I read my character page in detail today, I was baffled as to why my I still see evades on a fairly regular basis, despite having 143.1% Magical Attack hit change. What is giving monsters the ability to evade my spells despite such a high hit chance?

Monster now has some evade from AGI (1% per 100 AGI) and from chaos tokens (0.5% per Chaos_Evasion_Rank, max 10%). You'll need 200% hit chance to completely neglect evade now; 100% to hit monsters without evade, and another 100% as anti-evade. Anti-evade scales down monsters' evade linearly. For example, 50% anti-evade will scale down monster's evade from let's say 10% to 5%. This post has been edited by varst: Feb 23 2013, 19:33

What's "anti-evade"? Is that just "accuracy over 100%"?

Yes. Every % of accuracy above 100% will reduce monster's evade by that much.

what arenas and/or difficulties do i have to play to start getting shards again? i havent been getting any since a bit before the last patch, but im swimming(comparatively) in tokens

Is there a way to edit the first post or the title of this thread to say, "Check the fucking wiki before asking"? At least this way, they'll be able to say, I couldn't find that info on the wiki, link it better, or something constructive. Blerg. I realize that this is a place to ask questions, but quite a few are quite handily summarized by the wiki... maybe I've just been hanging out on the wiki too much lately.
