I am studying how restoratives work out of battle. And I do not understand what it says in wiki:

"A single potion restores the player's base points in that stat multiplied by the following: "

quoted from http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Battles#Recovering

could somebody kindly explain? Thanks a lot.

Every potions/spells that replenish on your HP/MP/SP works on your base HP/MP/SP (the one before tank and aura bonus). You can see your base HP/MP/SP at the 'derived attributes' in the Character screen.

You then use that multipler to see how much you're recover per potion.

Thanks for your reply.

so for example I would need 2.5 lesser mana potion or 2 average mana potion to have my mana point fully recover from zero? or it would just recover an amount equal to the base value (before multipler)?

Let's say (hypothetical numbers) that you have 900 base MP, a 3.0 MP tank multiplier (so you have 2700 MP in total), and currently you have 400 MP. So you need to recover 2300 MP.

For each lesser potion, you will recover 0.4*900 = 360 MP. You'll need 6.38 -> 7 lesser MP to recover all your MP.
As for average one, 0.5*900 = 450 MP. You'll need 5.11 -> 6 average MP to recover all your MP.

And when you're using restorative, there's two basic rules:
1. The lesser ones are all consumed first before the more powerful one is used. This doesn't include elixir.
2. You always recover to the max HP/MP/SP. So it's always a round-up amount of potions used.

I just hit level 50 and have some Blood Tokens, should I fight at IWTBH, like I do on hourlys, or should I wait for a few more levels?

you can save them since you level up quickly, but if you do fight bosses at IWBTH, use scroll of life as to not get oneshotted by their skill.

I had another question. For monsters, should i try to quickly get it to 25 so it can begin battling, or just wait and try and make it really strong before its Lvl 25?

Also, is there a main forum thread for monster QandA and theorycrafting.

I had read that, I was more hoping for an interactive forum where I can ask my million questions, I didn't see one on my first look through.

It is possible together with spark of life (spell version or scroll version) to protect yourself, but it seems to be a better route to get silence at lv. 110 so to avoid strong SP/MP attacks from FSM. Note that using silence requires you to have better deprecating proficiency though (since you're going to play 2-3 depres on FSM).

Also, do that on normal difficulty the first time you're against it. It's still the strongest monster in HV.

Your monster won't be strong before PL 25. In fact, most aren't strong until PL 400+. So it's better to concentrate on monster's PL first before using your chaos tokens (unless it's affection, which increase your chance to get double gifts). Most people raise PL evenly, as concentrating on specific stat cost too many crystals.

As for more specific questions, you can ask them at the expert's thread. That's the place where we share our experience (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

DrasticMeasures: You can try permastunning it slow+Shield Bash(1h skill)+haste+just in case scroll of swiftness if you don't have high AGI from PABs. FSM can still get 50% MP before you get 25% overcharge though.

But you'll save your nerves if you do it later, even if you don't actually cast silence.

I suppose that would be the place the ask, I suppose there isn't much theorycraft in "Dump crystals into monster"

Thank you.

Currently Forge level can increase your upgrade's limit.

Hi

Can anyone tell me how the costs for "Adept Learner" will increase? linearly? - Currently I have ~level 100 and I want to calculate how much Credits I need for the last 200 levels - I guess I need ~4000000-5000000 Credits - can anyone confirm this?

Edit:

Are mages worth it these days? I seem to be having a lot more trouble than I remember having. Sometimes I just can't hit some monsters with whatever I try or they take so much mana that I can't really get to as far as I used to.

Mages are all about speed and stacking damage, not longevity, so...But it would help if we know what "used to" means. Two years ago? Generally, melees can go further at higher difficulties.

However, your spell element and clothing proficiencies matter an incredible amount so if one of them isn't near your level that matters too.
