One consideration has been said by Panuru. Another consideration is the cost of the next ability boost. At about 50/100 ability boost will cost more than 15-16k, which is the current cost of 1 artifacts. And since there's a chance to get 1 ability point from those artifacts per shrining, it may be more cost-effective to get new APs from shrining artifacts instead of training ability boost. (Of course, you need a lot of artifacts to get APs, so training maybe a faster way to get APs)

The chance of getting an AP from the shrine, assuming you haven't gotten one yet, is 1/5 right? So statistically that would make sense when training started to cost 75k, which is into the 90s of I'm not mistaken.

No, because stat boosts are also valuable, EDs will sell for enough to get you another artifact, and Hath ranges from 1 - 3, so you'll actually make credits there on average. The only thing you don't want is crystals if you don't have Crystarium, cause you'll be losing credits there.

Oh I certainly buy the argument that shrining stuff is more worthwhile than keeping it. If you're specifically trying to get an AP, though, training is better.

The chance of getting AP from shrine can be as low as 1-2% when you max all those primary stat points, but you get so many valuable items (Haths, energy drinks, stat points) that you're not going to lose much from shrining. Just don't do stupid things like buying artifacts from WTS specifically for APs and it should be fine. And no, the training cost will reach 20k when you reach 56/100, so it will start to cost more than artifacts. Yes, it's a faster way to get APs, but it's also inefficient. And it gives you less flexibility when you trained them to a very high level. For example, before the patch I don't have bewilder, so I have no APs in imperil. I have to train 5 APs specifically for this purpose, which cost me about 90k. However, if my training's around 70~80, it will cost me about 150k or more. Might be a stupid question, but what does karma do exactly?. And Does it effect the HV game?

I just started changing from 2h to Dual wield style. I would like to ask if there's any guide for such a build as i couldn't yield any results from searching. Currently using kevlar protection set (thx el h) Mace+rapier str=dex=agi=end wis= lv*0.8 int=lv *0.5
any suggestions would also be much appreciated

Do we know each schoolgirl's chance of appearing in a given round of the marathons? I've been going through End of Days, and it feels like Konata appears most often, but I'm not sure if it's just perception bias at work.

No we don't. But judging from the amount of trophies I get (which in turn should be an unbiased indicator on the distribution of appearance), konata do appear a bit more often than other 3 girls, but not much.

I'm usually pretty thankful whenever she shows up since she has the lowest hp. I generally feel like I see more of her as well.

For me, Konata actually goes down slowest, due to my 130% Holy EDB. I was thinking of finding the optimal mix of Heimdall and Freyr to speed things up, but oh well. Thanks for the answer, varst.

What I first see.  The actual stats I get from the equipment. There is a quite a bit of difference between the stats I see when I'm buying the item and when I received the item. How do you read the Stats of the equipment in WTS? This post has been edited by Insania: May 13 2012, 13:51
