1. You can also use the aether shard to lower your mana costs.
2. Also, the shop is stocked by players like you and me selling gear to it, which then gets deleted after a period of time. The question you should have asked is how often they are generated, which the answer to is not often, but often enough that people sell them.
Also, check out the WTS thread, there are plenty of noobie (not calling you a noob) goodie bins which will donate gear to you which is above average and useable for quite some time.

QUOTE(Fanservicefan @ Apr 21 2012, 15:37) Why are my mana costs for Cure, Haste, and the like getting higher? Is there a way to lower them?
http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Spells#Spell_CostsQUOTE How often do those appear in the shop? As often as they are sold. The Bazaar does not generate goods besides crystals.

I'm not exactly made of credits (less then 20,000) so buying directly from other players is out of the question. As for shards, even more expensive. Aren't Kevlar ones like 100,000?

Depend on the prefix, recent patch changes have rendered kevlar nearly useless, except those with "protection". Also, not ideal for beginners, due to the technical problem involving tiny mana pool and pity stats at your level. At your level, go buy some heavy armor and weapon, do the arena and grindfest for credits. This shop also give out free equipment, all you have to do is ask nicely: https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showtopic=59425

Heavy? Don't those slow you down and increase your burden? I'd like to kill the mobs before they kill me. Also, evasion. I already have some Shade equips. I'll try that thread shortly. And if Kevlar is useless, should I sell that helmet then?

not necessarily, most of the times its the auctions that have ridiculous prices, if you go into the 'shop' threads items there are static and depending on the item can be cheaper than the bazaar.

Your speed is no longer influenced by armor.

Fixed that for you. It is still influenced by armor, as you get an agility bonus by using a full light set

D'oh, should have included the word "negatively".

So...should I be kicking myself for selling Superior rank armor a few days ago or stick to my guns for a full light armor set. I'd preferably like for them all to be Shade (a page on the wiki suggests it) unless that got nerfed too.

Not really. Prefix doesn't really matter a lot.

Shade with high evade is still okay, but most of the time shade armor can be quite expansive (because it's rare). If you want to go the light armor route, most probably you'll also use a mace with high stun rate to further reduce the damage received. On the other hand, heavy armor can be inexpensive. A set of plate armor of protection will cost you as low as 10,000 credits, if you aren't picky. You should probably try mace (for stunning) or scythe (for bleeding) if you use heavy armor. Prefix doesn't matter that much; most of the time we only look at some specific data, like evade, ADB, interference for shade and physical mitigation for plate. Look for some specific suffixes (for example, protection which further boosts physical mitigation, and fleet which further boosts evade) Wiki should also provide tons of information on this game to you. http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Main_Page

Quality suffixes don't also necessarily mean better. Longswords that are "exquisite" or higher will be massively disappointing.
That, and it's far more expensive to upgrade a superior or above item than it is to upgrade an average item with good stats.

As this is the thread of experts maybe someone can give me a hint about how to finish "End of Days" successfully. I was a melee until Lv150, then changed to mage. It was quite easy to level up until EoD at Heroic/Nightmare. But now I use up all my godly manas until round 70, because I need almost one for going one or two rounds with the legendaries at Normal. So I switched from my Magnificient ebony staff of the elementalist to the Exquisite katalox staff of the owl and used Heimdall pants and Fenrir shoes to increase my holy/dark damage. The result was disappointing as I had to flee in round 65 due to a lack of mana. Then I went back to melee, bought an expensive Fine ethereal mace of balance as it was recommended in some threads and tried to go through two legendary RoB as a test. One RoB with light/shade and one with heavy/power. It took me about 70 rounds to win. That means for arena I will not be able to finish EoD before I run out of stamina. Maybe I should rearrange PA or AP? Any suggestions are much apprechiated. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Thank you (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This post has been edited by Limalover: Apr 22 2012, 19:20

For mages, it's all about mana. Either use banish or pestilence to clear most of the normal monsters, proc CM on legend (with magic missile if you don't get it from the first spell), strike it for ET, then proc CM with MM again. The number of times you need to ET depends on how much mana you need, which you need to adjust during battles. Then use pestilence/purge (or banish) combo to kill legends. For spells, use nerf on legend and keep haste, SV, spirit shield, arcane focus and regen 2. Most of them should be available through chanelling. For equips, heimdall/fenrir is a good choice; you can choose to focus on either of them or mix them if you're using holy/dark burst. You'll need a better choice on staff though: try to find one with good ET chance/duration, something like 30%+/2~3 turns. The suffix 'fenrir', 'heimdall', 'focus', or 'destruction' would be better than the one you're using. Find one with at least 20 MDB (for non-destrucion) or 32 MDB (for destruction), at least 6 EDB (for heimdall and fenrir), and 20% mana conservation bonus (for focus). For abilities, don't pick those which increase your magical mitigation. Put points into pestilence and purge and anything else. If you don't like EXP tanks, put them into SP tanks so there's more spare SP for SP shield/spark. Finally, for items, bring godly mana potions. Also bring 1 godly SP potion in case you have trouble with SP. P.S. Usually we discuss strategies at the 'ask the experts' thread. This thread is usually used for HV system-related questions. Testing out 1-handed style with a shortsword. I unlock Tier 2 effect, but I don't get Vital Strike in my Skills list. What am I doing wrong?

I did, that's how I unlock Tier 2:
5 1 You use Shield Bash. 5 2 You gain the effect Chain 1.
Check skills, I only have Flee, Scan, and Shield Bash.
