QUOTE(Randommember @ Aug 24 2011, 04:58) So how do you get good items? Luck with drops? Or you just donät have good items?
Playing through tons of rounds. But I don't think you'll believe me.

QUOTE(Cronauron @ Aug 23 2011, 20:43) Dying has no negative effect it seems. A question emerges : When you flee from a battle, do monsters that were in battle get a win++ ? I think they don't for rather obvious reasons, but I want to make sure. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) This post has been edited by Mika Kurogane: Aug 24 2011, 12:30

Get killed > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW> start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW> start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW > start IW If you do it a few 1000 times you might get alot of free wins for your monster (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) This post has been edited by Ichy: Aug 24 2011, 13:21

Except of course that "wins" your monsters score against yourself.. don't count.

At what difficulty do most of you play? And what kind of matches? Arena, item world or grind fests? Or do you mainly stick to the harder difficulties and do the hourly random encounters and then just breeze through the arenas on normal? And how much do burden count in? Is there any real noticeable difference between 20 burden and 30? And is the haste spell now a set action speed bonus, and the proficiency only improves how long it lasts? Or is it a waste of time and effort to try and boost your action speed to be faster than your enemies? Especially since it balances out by making your buffs run out faster? But do flees count as wins, if it is someone else that flees from your monster? This post has been edited by Randommember: Aug 25 2011, 00:51

QUOTE(Randommember @ Aug 25 2011, 00:42) At what difficulty do most of you play? Some play on Normal, some on Hard, some on Heroic, some on even higher difficulties. It's all a matter of time you want to spend playing vs how quickly you want to level up (the higher the difficulty, the higher the EXP bonus). QUOTE(Randommember @ Aug 25 2011, 00:42) And how much do burden count in? Yes, Haste now gives you a fixed 50% Action Speed bonus. QUOTE(Randommember @ Aug 25 2011, 00:42) Or is it a waste of time and effort to try and boost your action speed to be faster than your enemies? Especially since it balances out by making your buffs run out faster? At your level, eh. Possibly. Depends on your AGI. At higher levels you'll want to keep Haste on you at all times. QUOTE((Cheater) Tiap @ Aug 25 2011, 01:12) http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Burden#EffectsYes, Haste now gives you a fixed 50% Action Speed bonus. At your level, eh. Possibly. Depends on your AGI. At higher levels you'll want to keep Haste on you at all times. You might be interested in this thread. I've read the EHwiki, but it is a bit out of date, including the action speed and burden part. Apparently the calculations for action speed has changed since the EHwiki entry (and it even says so in the discussion part on the page). The question is how much burden affects you. Does it factor in after the haste spell, or before, and how much extra attacks can you actually get out of it. 50% action speed bonus should theoretically give you 1 extra attack for every 2 attacks done without haste, but that doesn't really seem to be the case, so it seems the calculation is slightly more advanced than that. Going for something completely different, how does bonuses from armor stack with each other. I know that for mitigations it first counts your general damage mitigation from the attack damage, and then from that value it counts the specific damage mitiation. So 50% physical damage mitigation and 50% slashing mitigation will reduce an incoming slash damage to 25% of it's original damage (after absorb and avoidance), but how does it stack up from the armor pieces themselves? Say we got 5% mitigation from each armor piece, is the total mitigation then 25% (5 x 5%) or 22.6% (counted multiplicative instead of additive, or whatever it is called)? And same thing for evade and resist. With 5 pieces with 10% resist chance each, do you get 50% resist or 59%? And same thing with shield armor and block. With 4% on each piece, do you get a total of 20%? And with a shield with 30% block, do you get 50%? Or do you get diminishing returns on every piece, or is armor counted together before being "added" to the total value?

Out of curiosity, does the difficulty experience bonus still take effect even during the "dawn of a new day"? That is, if you're on IWBTH, will you get more experience from the event than you would if you were on Normal?

Dawn XP isn't affected by difficulty. The difficulty experience multiplier only applies in battle.
That said, you aren't losing much unless you're at very early levels or exclusively playing Legacy HV.

QUOTE(ThE AssA @ May 18 2010, 03:19) Since we're talking about artifact drops (somewhat recently) I bet no one can compare to this awsomeness: Total Artifacts found: 1 pieces ( 3112 rounds per artifact) Last found: [Small Nuke] (47 days ago) and I've found around 4 artifacts in my whole HV life (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (all those were before I got my measly 1 level in Archaeologist) for the 47 days ago, its cause I hadn't been able to play recently, and when I do, I don't very long (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) How do you find this stat? o_O I've gotten two artifacts since I started playing a few weeks ago.

QUOTE Do you still get the Dawn of a New Day bonus if you don't visit the site every day? Use the HV STAT add-on (hasn't been updated in a while though). This post has been edited by Ballistic9: Aug 28 2011, 02:20

Am I seeing things or is the Cure spell getting more expensive to cast? I could've sworn it was 5 MP, not 7. Also, endurance increases your defense right? I'm trying to save my credits and mobs keep taking chunks off even at Hard difficulty at level 33.

Spell costs increase with level. And yes, END does help defense.

Do all Legendary trophies have the same loot quality? Or are Broken Glasses worth more than Hinamatsuri Doll and so on? QUOTE((Cheater) Tiap @ Aug 28 2011, 21:45) Do all Legendary trophies have the same loot quality? Or are Broken Glasses worth more than Hinamatsuri Doll and so on? http://ehwiki.org/wiki/SpellsThe rarity of the trophy determines how large the bonus to the equipment roll is. Trophies are hierarchically ranked into 4 tiers: The four Rare-class monster (Boss) trophies Konata's trophy (Lock of Blue Hair) The remaining three Legendary-class monster trophies (Mikuru, Asakura, Yuki) The Ultimate-class monster (God) trophies (Real Life, Invisible Pink Unicorn, Flying Spaghetti Monster, and Yggdrasil) The special prize items also fall within these four tiers, depending on their loot quality modifier. Thanks, but Fireball and Inferno haven't changed much in their cost. Then again, they do weak damage so I barely use them.

Check here if you haven't already. The cost increase for some spells is barely noticeable due to the low base cost. The base MP cost for maxed single-target Tier 1 elemental spells is 3, meaning it roughly increases by 1 every 33 levels, but it is 20 for Cure, so it increases by 1 every 5 levels instead. Arcane Focus and Heartseeker are much more noticeable in terms of cost increase once you get them. This post has been edited by Mika Kurogane: Aug 29 2011, 09:38
