QUOTE KamuiSeph' date='Jun 28 2010, 02:56' post='731717'] P.s. Mithra is a boss, not a legendary.
Oh, really? Then, how can you tell the difference between a boss and a legendary? They both have gold outlines. This post has been edited by -Zen-: Jun 28 2010, 11:10

http://ehwiki.org/wiki/HentaiVerse_BestiaryBoss: Manbearpig White Bunneh Mithra Dalek
Legendary: Konata Mikuru Asahina Ryouko Asakura Yuki NagatoThere is a color difference in them. The bosses are gold/yelowish, while legendaries are bright red/pinkish

Just to clarify that, everything that can be fought in the Ring of Blood is, strictly speaking, a Legendary monster according to Tenboro's definition. The terms "boss", "legendary" and "god" have more or less been invented by the players in order to distinguish between them.
Having said that, you've only ever met the "boss" type, and you won't see anything above that until at least level 75 - and then only if you choose to face them in the RoB. So you don't need to worry about how to tell the difference at the moment.

QUOTE(-Zen- @ Jun 28 2010, 10:49) I noticed someone asking in one of the first few posts how low someone has been to beat a legendary, and I just wanted to mention I have just succeeded at beating a Mithra at level 21, with only Poison, Heal, and my longsword.
So I guess they're not unbeatable at low levels.
62 8 Second Wind restores your health by 129 points! 62 7 You gain 51.53 EXP! 62 6 Mithra dropped [Mithra's Flower] 62 5 You are Victorious! 62 4 Mithra has been defeated.
In RoB they are much stronger. better be careful (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Monsters in Item World or Grinfest is very very very easy to defeat compare to the real one. I wish that RL or FSM could appear in IW too (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

(come to think about it again even melee characters would run)

You sure? If I meet them in early levels of an IW/Grindfest I would kill them for an easy earned Boss trophy.

You and every high level player, but the time you lost by killing it, you could clear tons of rounds with tons of items, so you lose XP, and credits. Only the ones who prefer to risk his luck at the shrine wouldn't run. This post has been edited by cmdct: Jun 28 2010, 16:17

(IMG:[ i35.tinypic.com] http://i35.tinypic.com/hrao1d.jpg) Yuki clear. I beat Ryouko with Rapier/Dagger + Poison + Holy on PA proc, etc. Ended up using quite a few items. I decided to try going up against Yuki with a high ether theft Heaven-sent staff + evade gear. I have pretty poor overall evade gear too (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) . Even so, with absorb + 35% evade + 15% resist, Data Rewrite only got through once. I used only one spirit draught, which turned out to be completely unnecessary. Long battle though. Absorb + Spark + Haste + Regen up at all times. Weaken, Bewilder, Slow, Poison. Proc CM with Magic Missile. Reproc debuffs if necessary, cast Banish a few times if mana was high. Proc Ether Theft, try to proc Channeling with Magic Missle. Use Channeling to recast buffs when possible. Repeat for 800 turns and success. Lol (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) My Divine Prof is really bad too, in case you were wondering why my Banish did so little damage. Need to get around to raising that. And my Forbidden Prof now too. Roughly how much harder is Real Life compared to Yuki? Think I could go this route with RL too? This post has been edited by Conquest101: Aug 6 2010, 04:06

I don't remember yuki taking that long. Aflonx's RL took less turns than your Yuki, and he used the bleed/poison to death method. RL needs spark, high curative powerrrss, and lots of mana according to what I've gathered so far. And it has about 200k hp. Now my question is: should I bother with casting soul spells? My proficiency is 20. And due to my complete lack of evade gear, I think I might tackle ipu first.

Yuki took that long because I was essentially Magic Missleing her to death lol. I was also playing it really safe, just cause. The only benefit to that method is that there is basically no item cost. And you can have relatively crappy gear and still clear it with little trouble. Also, my Divine Prof was 25.75 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by Conquest101: Aug 6 2010, 04:25

By the way, I've just faced Konata at my current level (15). And guess what, I've finished the battle in a single blow! To which Konata retaliated killing me on the spot.
If possible, I'd like to be cremated. And if it is not too much to ask, throw my reamains in the middle of a crowded area. While I'm still burning... Ah, the bards will sing about me!

Errr, and how exactly did you face Konata at your level?

Yes but below level 100, you need to use scrolls of life/gods to be safe, so it's not that safeQUOTE(Conquest101 @ Aug 6 2010, 03:23) The only benefit to that method is that there is basically no item cost. And you can have relatively crappy gear and still clear it with little trouble.
At your level you can clear legends just with a couple of mana items or even without items, and faster, you need to have good ET staff, and good divine prof that's all. Edit: I ask for the next guys, who want to post their RoB achievements, doing it in here instead. This post has been edited by cmdct: Aug 8 2010, 03:59

First I clicked on the wrong challenge, and tried to fight the invisible pink unicorn. Then, I used the mini spirit attack strategy against RL, and I forgot that spark needed spirit points to activate and this happened: 65 6 Your Spark of Life fails due to insufficient Spirit. 65 5 Internet Shutdown hits you for 3278 soul damage.
Any advice? I can only bleed/poison/soul reap him to death?

PA + poison and soul harvest was the strategy that I used. I'm thinking that the mini spirit attack approach would probably work better when he's silenced. Make sure that you're bringing some spirit elixirs along with your mana elixirs. The best way to do a good chunk of damage is to use a bubble gum to heal after it's already expended its spirit bar and then tag it with your spirit attack with PA up while you have guaranteed crits. Bubble gum is almost as good as a mana elixir healing wise anyway, so it's not a real waste of a slot.

You can use your Eth [ hv.e-hentai.org] rapier as well, then equip a high block shield, that's the way I used to kill IPU the first time. Mini-spirit attack is to use with silence only. More advices, look to this thread, at least I and Sayo, provided enough information already. This post has been edited by cmdct: Aug 9 2010, 22:57

QUOTE You can use your Eth rapier as well Tried it. It does 20 damage per turn. Ethereals are overated. Would much rather use my 23% 3/4 turns 12 parry rapier. Maybe I should put that as my main and equip a shield? I do have a nice axe though (190 3 turns). This post has been edited by Golden Sun: Aug 10 2010, 00:21
