QUOTE(Maximum_Joe @ Jan 16 2012, 20:42) I know about those but... isn't integrating these things directly into the EHG a better idea? In the wiki anyone can edit and view and thats cool. But moderating tags and tag groups seems to be done by a few select people with the right to do so, while tagging can done by anyone with an account. Is it to prevent abuse, even though moderation power should suffice?

How would we go about doing that? QUOTE But moderating tags and tag groups seems to be done by a few select people with the right to do so, while tagging can done by anyone with an account. Is it to prevent abuse, even though moderation power should suffice? Tagging is still abusable even with the mod power system. On occasion tags are blindly voted on without users actually double checking their validity. Grouping and blacklisting doesn't need to be done a lot so there's no need to open it up to the entire userbase. If people need something done in that regard they can just post here and either Alpha 7 or myself will have it processed in a short amount of time. Plus, the three people who can group tags don't always agree so, letting anybody and everybody doing it would be chaotic. Also, Joe, I am Alpha 7 (no underscore). You can change your name to Maximum Joe (no underscore), too. I always try using a space in my forum name, though not with a log-in name.

Oops, sorry! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I'm really too used to online communities that forbade spaces...

QUOTE(shintsu @ Jan 16 2012, 23:49) 1. Have the ability to set a Memory Cache for the client trough the GUI to improve throughput on popular images. I could presume to be able to do disk caching better and more efficiently than your host OS which is already doing it, but I'm not going to.

Not a feature request, just a small bug report: trying to show hidden comments while we aren't on the first page of a gallery won't work because the gallery page number is given in the query string (?p=1), and the link to show hidden comments simply append "?hc=1" to the current URL, no mater if the URL already contains a query string (so the URL becomes http://g.e-hentai.org/g/$gid/$t/?p=$pnum?hc=1).
Edit: well, I do have a feature request finally. It would be great if the browser automatically scrolls to the comments when hidden comments are enabled (for instance, using a link like that: http://g.e-hentai.org/g/$gid/$t/?hc=1#comments).

I have a question/suggestion about torrents.
If you want to change the comment or name of a torrent that you've uploaded, when you press Enter, it automatically clicks Cancel. Could this be changed so it automatically clicks Modify instead?

Just realized that EHG missing one useful feature. Please implement Auto Purge for Deleted galleries (prohibited content violation or any other cause) from Favourites. Is that possible? If yes then it will be great addition to the system. Just checked my Fav list and to my astonishment I still have plenty of galleries which pining for fjords. I will delete them in time, but it would be nice to see some automation in that respect. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Cheerio

Can we get a SOCOM like listing of galleries with no tags and those with tags <10? There are still some out there from the older years (just stumbled upon one dojin), and if badly named, they are practically not visible to any search.

And on that note, can we have 1-power tags be shown in a gallery's tag list? I've tried searching for things via the "deep tag searching" option, but most of the galleries I find have that tag at only 1 power.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Cheerio Not good, I got many galleries that are deleted for different reasons, mainly because there is newer, better quality version up. So a better system would be the one that auto-update the older galleries to the newly updated ones, and an option click to auto-purge those that pining for fjords.

And how would the system automatically tell that a new gallery should replace the old gallery?

I dont know, I am not Tenb, let him figure it out. What I think the system shall work by checking the gallery uploader's function, if he did update his gallery, then the system automatically search that new gallery and auto-add it into favorite. Or it should notify by make a pop-up appear saying whether you want to update favorite for that new gallery or keep the old. What I cant figure out is if the new gallery is updated by someone other than the original uploader, what would let the system know whether it shall update. I think I'm misunderstanding something here (your English is kinda '-.-)
What you want is for the system to automatically replace series you've favorited but were replaced (or make a pop-up that tells you it was replaced), or automatically get rid of any series sent to the fjords?

I would like it if a icon appeared next to favorites that have been update but the system automatically changing where the link points? FUCK NO Looking at the state of the gallery before updating is integral to finding where you left off. As to how the system would tell if it was updated; simple if the gallery is actually updated or expunged as replaced or dup.
