Graying off the dead monsters is another great idea (I very much hope that most of your script will be incorporated into official 0.4 release, which will eliminate the annoying refresh between phases).

But I will voice a little criticism about the stat screen. Don't get me wrong, the underlying idea is useful, but I feel that the big white box clutters my screen too much and is a bit annoying. Here are some suggestions:
* make the background the same beige as the basic Hverse instead of distracting white
* make the box optional - can it start minimized or nonexisting and display itself only at the end of each round?

Not sure if its been suggested or not, but possibly adding a per 'session' counter that tracks exp and credits gained during a entire grindfest. It would be great to know how much we are truly getting out of each grind session.

Anyways, awesome mod. Thank you so much! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It was already mentioned that there's no way to track stuff throughout rounds, so your easiest method would be to write down your current exp and credits before starting and subtracting it from your current values after you finish.

Having a hard time getting the new one installed. I uninstalled the old one, go to click the link to install the new one and all it does is open the script in a new tab. Any ideas?

Thanks.

@majere
Any chance you just disabled GreaseMonkey? Otherwise, try restarting your browser/machine.

Good job, gillian! I never leave the house without this ever again.

A few suggestions (not being posted already):
1. How about showing the time you'll be able to do Montage again? Not only a countdown but the actual time?
Same for Training.

2. You could also add an indicator of how much Credits it would take you to train/arena/buy equipment/items. Maybe per scroll-over, so it wouldn't screw up the screen.

3. In the Character screen, you could show how much % exp/credit gain you have + all bonuses.

4. Prolly not possible for a simple script: adding an equipment-comparer on scroll-over (gear in shop/whatever vs currently equipped)

5. Show how much a health/mana/spirit tank/overcharge boost is worth in real numbers per scroll-over.

6. Estimated time for when your hp/mana/spirit bar is fully regenerated again.

7. Show how much your stats would increase by spending exp.

As you see, some of them are simply there to stop us from using our brain too much (doing math, that is).

Let me know, which one you could imagine adding (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

A few of these things can already be accomplished by Sonic's calculator. Some of these things aren't possible with a script. Some of these things have to be implemented server-side (so bug Tenboro LOL).

I have a small suggestion that I thought would be nice to have. At the end of the battle, have it list the total proficiency gains your earned for that battle.

I was looking at the code and have started working on some performance enhancements and controls to turns items on and off.
Would this be of interest and if so how should I feed it back?
I'm tempted to setup a version repo for this. I wonder how Sourceforge feels about Hentai? =)

Battle Buddy is only for Firefox right now.

I pointed out earlier that this is incorrect, I got it to run on my SeaMoneky (the how to is in one of my first replies to this thread).

My mind is a little off at the moment, but what do you mean turning items on and off?
I'd be interested. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I hope it's a feature to turn down the annoying (as I described above) white box full of stats. I want this to show only at the end of every battle - and let's face it, for stats, being unable to gather them between rounds, makes this pretty useless anyway (particularly given this alternative). Is there really no way that info can be saved in greasemonkey?

I sometimes use a very very slow interface and I added some quick if statements against some variables at the top so that I can turn on and off the stats, the fade on dead monsters, and something else... oh the separate sections box the stats live in.
Trying to see what performance tweaks I can get out of it too. I moved the monster ID code from a function call to a global table for look ups.
I figured this was a good enough reason to start messing around with javascript, so I might see what I can do to make some sort of control setup so that features can be turned on and off or customized. I wonder how hard it would to introduce keybindings?

Would be cool to have a feature in the script that actually lets us know when it's been updated, and gives a button to grab the new version and/or open up the forum topic here for it.

Funny you should mention it - I've been working on the next big release. It'll be pretty huge, and incorporate pretty much all the feedback in this thread...be patient!

Little suggestion...

Maybe you can split your script into multiple parts.

So everyone can install only what they want or swith off what is not currently serves.
