I was using a Superior weapon that had over 40% attack damage multiplier but found I could get the same attack damage percentage with this Magnificent weapon but bump my Challenge Level to Nightmare.

All in all, I think it was worth it! Course that means I need to keep up my H@H serving so I can possibly qualify for another one next year! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Ok, pardon me for asking what might be a silly question but...

As I see it, the PREfixes usually dictate how powerful/good/awesome a piece of equipment is.

However...

The actual stats of any particular item could out-weigh the value associated with a prefix.

In theory, a Superior item could be more powerful than an Exquisite item.

So if the cost of credits isn't important (in my case) then am I better off buying a lesser prefix but has a better stats? I've never had anyone adequately explain it.

I used to just buy the most expensive item in a category and equip it, then I figure out the prefixes, then I started noticing I was doing better with a lesser prefix, but higher stat item and never thought to ask the dumb question.

I have a pair of 5+% block sabatons (non barrier). So assuming the same Feet < Everything else, suggests that it could go pretty high. Especially considering the fact that barrier can spawn on it.

Not yet, I believe.. And the fact that they even came with "of Barrier" suffix made the whole guesstimate more difficult.

But I knew the one you got is pretty low though.

I think the true measure of shield armor's worth though would be Phys Mit + Block. I assume both they would both have the same multiplicative calculations if you were to use more than one in a set. You could probably get pretty close to being immune with a full set of shield armor, a good shield, and high respective proficiencies.

It's still pretty good for "crap" though. I could sell it to the Bazaar for 3,338c.

Rare Type + High Quality = High Bazaar value, so valuable crap.

I know from experience that SA can drop with at least base 6 Block. Higher values may be possible without the Barrier suffix, but I've yet to see one.

Since Block is no longer affected by proficiency and its a multiplicative stat, you'd need some hella good armor at high levels with a good shield to get the Heavy version of an Evade Silk suit. And then you're stuck using 1HS, so you're limited to your weapon configuration. Then again, I don't think anyone's assembled a sweet suit yet, so we'll have to see what's possible.
