That's awful - I see like 25% slowdown with firefox compared to iron, not 10 times. Check your idle tabs, they may be leaking due poorly written .js(this includes the google non-search pages as poorly leaking ones).
Honestly, last I checked I found FF better for handling lots of tabs while chrome lagged to hell with hundreds, but haven't done that in a long time.

May? My idle tabs are leaking like a mofo!
I got about 30 idle tabs per browser... this means a daily crash on FF.

How do we solve
"Database open error: 1"
after every action?

edit: Got this alert after I downgraded Chrome to 22.ver.

Chrome 23 stable version has been released but it has serious memory leak bug.
(See [code.google.com] Issue 113983)

Memory usage increases and JavaScript slows down on every page reload.
There is no workaround now.

I recommend that you do NOT use Chrome Edition until the bug will be fixed.

jquery-ui.min.js line 19

Delete it, you can get a good performance.
At least, in my computer memory usage does not increase infinitely.

but, I don't know the usefulness of this line of code, and delete its risk.

The idea has been introduced to this release. Thank you for useful information.

Error code 1 is defined as UNKNOWN_ERR. I have no information about that. Version downgrade may not be supported about IndexedDB.

Try Chrome v23 and HV STAT 5.4.5.1 or delete the database from "Monster Stats" tab on Chrome v23.

Well I couldn't use Chrome v23 for obvious reasons (why would I downgrade otherwise?) and when I tried to delete database, I get "cannot delete db" error.
Anyway, I solved my problem by completely uninstalling chrome (including user data) - chrome is not my main browser anyway, so I could afford that without any major losses.

But thanks for the help anyway!

What are the worst offenders when it comes to page loading speed?
I used to be able to have pretty much everything on (tracking, battle log, turn divider, mob hp/mp/sp etc) but now it feels like it's not as quick as before, especially with monster stats displayed.
My pages generally load relatively fast, so it's more like a feeling of quick and quicker, not exactly noticable on single turns, but adds up over time, sorry I can't be more accurate.

edit: also, the alert message for low HP doesn't seem to trigger anymore unless "nag mode" is checked. It works sometimes but not every time my HP drops below the selected value.

First, pretty certainly, jQuery loading and calls.
REEDIT:
Second, getting and putting large objects at localStorage.
Third, presumably, open and close responses of IndexedDB.

What's your environment?

EDIT: Confirmed. It's a bug. I'll fix it at the next release.

Eh, I thought that you want to modify the script. They are architectural issues of HV Stat.

In settings, probably most time consuming function is 'Show monster info from database', especially when a lot of monsters appear.

and since the developer seems to be busy with more important bug, here is the fix

i'm sorry for anyone who feel offended by this.

Attached Image

1. ctrl+f then type cloth, the screen should looks like above
2. match the number in the _prof.armorproftotals bracket according my picture (my 2nd black box)
3. save (obvious)

it's done (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

edit: thats the 5.4.5 version

Interesting. Of note is that its not just cloth, its cloth and light that are wrong. (everything else is correct)

What happens by disabling all other extensions?

5.4.5.1 working great on iron23 with monster data disabled, faster than iron21 actually.

But my powerup UI is gone (I mean the little box in the corner that shows what powerup has dropped). Is that the UI delete that fixed the memory leak?

Edit: The round counter on the top right isn't there too.

I did use the fix posted by mirandakerr by extracting the crx then loading the unpacked plugin. That wouldn't have done me in would it?

Edit2: The options are there like you said. I guess I didn't think to check for new options XD

Confirm options 'Show Round Counter' and 'Show Powerup Box' in Battle Enhancement section. Now their default values are off.
