Sorry to pop in like that, but I'm really short on time as of lately, anyway, I got this guy in my other forum who needs a little input, and I though "Fuck why not? Wouldn't hurt to get the certainly amusing opinions of a bunch of lowlifes from the other side of the internet!"

I have an assignment for JMC where I need to write a paper on why people respond differently to the same media content. We also have to interview some people and get their opinions on the television show of my choice and use it for the paper.

I chose the sketch comedy Portlandia because I don't watch many other shows. The show takes place mostly in the city of Portland, Oregon, which is the unofficial hipster capital of the USA, and as a result, many of the sketches make fun of hipster culture. That seems like a silly question. The enjoyment is limited to people who know what hipsters are. I don't know if that qualifies as a niche, but it's definitely not all ages and cultures.
