So I have new office space and I need to decorate it. I am open to suggestions.

How large is this new office space.

Probably about 100 square feet.

Many leather bound books.

Weeaboo calender on each wall.

Are you gonna be in the office for a long time?

Mostly gonna be office bound, except for training classes and site visits. Probably gonna be here two years at least, maybe even five so I qualify for the minimum level of the retirement plan.

For a civil servant job, this one is pretty good. I was in two private industry positions, had cubes (hardly ever in one of them since I worked from home) and no benefits. Now I've got free health/dental/vision/life insurance, an awesome retirement plan, and an office. AND I get every holiday off with pay, plus I can't just get laid off because I'm union. The salary isn't that bad, either.

IMHO

I would go with:
• A mantle clock especially one with burl wood accents.
• Repro of some famous oil painting
• Decorative replica weapon of your choice
• Ethinic/tribal art/sculpture
• Decorative lamp (I love lamp)
• Favorite movie poster

I have an award clock I was given for some achievement and I can steal one of those kitschy folk art carvings from my folks. I'm also one of Those Guys with replica samurai swords gathering dust somewhere.

Sadly, I am deficient in oil paintings and decorative lamps. And I don't have a favorite movie, so can I (and by "I", I mean "we") make one up? Also, I totally need a demotivational poster. A really legit looking one until you actually look at what it says.

I think rad has a more extensive knowledge of movies compared to me. As far as the decorative lamp and paintings, I'd send you a cnc-milled lamp and a woodcut painting as soon as I repair my machine if you want because I have a fuckton of scrap wood and canvas. Let me know if you want a particular style.
