One time, I went to this Japanese restaurant I frequently ate katsudon at. They had this thing on the lunch menu called tamaunadon. Using my leet weebspeek skills, I knew it involved eel AND egg on rice. I knew they had unadon on the dinner menu, but this just seemed excessive. And it was glorious. True story.

I'm not too fond of unadon, not because of the taste, but because of the price.

I'd much rather go to a cheap all-you-can-eat place and get a bunch of eel sushi and eel rolls and eel hand rolls.

The eel here is pretty cheap. And its not some sad tiny piece of eel. I'm talking big honking gigantic fat cock eels all over the bowl.

I didn't think I'd like gyudon that much but I like it quite a bit. :3

I wouldn't say I love it like I love takoyaki or choose-your-own-topping Japanese curry but it's pretty good.

Did you have gyudon with onsen tamago? Because the onsen tamago makes a huge difference. Or maybe I'm just an egg slut.

I have only been to an onsen once and it was an onsen connected to a hotel I was there for only one day and I did not have onsen egg or gyudon there.
