Today, I relearned some people don't learn algebra in high school. I remember trying to tutor a guy in college algebra and we both ended up flipping tables. Him because he didn't get it and me because he didn't get it.

And here I thought American schools were fucked. Am I the only one that started geometry and calc in high school?

Well, the standard kids learned algebra in high school in my district. I took Calc I in high school because I was on the accelerated track in junior high and learned algebra there. Eventually, my education had me learning all kinds of crazy shit where you're basically doing heinous things using letters and symbols.

I took geometry and algebra in middle school. Though I think my town had good schools. When I later moved to a bigger town everything was 1-2 grades behind in content and everyone there was /retarded/.

Too bad I used it as an excuse to also be retarded and lazy. (decided to stay in my grade level with the dumber kids rather than go one grade up in math/english)

Ended up no better than my idiot peers for a while. Did end up taking Calc 1+2 though before I decided being good at math didn't mean I LIKED math and stopped.

Blorg was only math Asian kid up until 11th grade.

In other news, I just got my new contract and today was technically my last day at work (gotta go in tomorrow to do exit interviews and stuff). So I'm probably gonna move to Hong Kong soon-ish. And then I'll be in Blorg's old timezone. I'm sorry, Blorg, but our love can never be.

Seems like a sweet deal. I once worked similar hours and got paid 200k/month only the currency was in won which meant I actually made around $200.

Also I am pretty much set for this year with my new PS3 and games I think.

Disgaea 4, Overlord II, Persona 4 Arena, Borderlands 2, Warriors Orochi 3 and Lollipop Chainsaw. And possibly Tales of Xillia if it comes out.
