I think he's talking about the fact that no one would ever encounter the high PL monster (~500+), and these monster would be useless since they can't get any win.

PL restrictions for encounters is determined by player level, not monster level. Though in coding, we couldn't really tell considering monster level is effectively == player level at this point, in which case it needs to be changed to be determined by player level. Oh, I see your point now. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I find the current patch much easier than the last one and I have no problem with the monster lv (yet), so I won't going to whine about this problem for now. Maybe I will in the future...

It can't generate the event there because it doesn't load the necessary library on those pages. It will eventually, but I have to finish up some backend work first to eliminate the overhead it would otherwise cause.

Excellent patch!
The game has been getting harder and harder for me, and this will probably not help, but I nevertheless think the EXP bonus is still a good decision.

I'm finding that with the current patch, I die less often, level up much quicker, can last longer in grindfest, am outdistancing my proficiencies, and my monsters bring me goodies less often.

Since I played a lot I can now say: I like this patch. Had not so much fun playing HV for a long time. Tenb made IWBTH worth the extra time spent. Now you actually get something really good even now and then. I will probably never do Arenas on lower setting again. What I don't like is that I'm forced to do my IWs in lower Settings since it is impossible do do it on harder Settings. I can barely clear my legendary on normal (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) The other thing I don't like is that Crysfest is still best played on normal. I tried on varios settings and Normal always wins. While I do one 150 rounds run on IWBTH and spend all my Pots I already have done 1-2 600 rounds runs without any Items used. I only had to drink a Spirit Pot some times. IWBTH should have far less No drops and the delicious Crystal Modifier needs to become earlier since it is impossible to go much deeper then 200+

The changes mentioned here apply to 0.6.4 more, but the HP reduction made the game tolerable again.
With OC tank actually being made worth a shit by making specials actually powerful and not requiring so much time to recharge (instead of spending ~42 turns per special attack, you just need to wait for the cooldown + change to do another attack), HV is a lot better to play as melee, as long as you tweak your playstyle to use specials when possible.
The passive damage bonus isn't needed so much anymore, and to be honest, spirit stance is a better finisher/infusion booster instead of something you use regularly as the bonus is honestly kind of shit in comparison for what it costs as opposed to the utility the special attacks offer.

No clue what happened, but I tried to do an arena, and as I did an attack I got sent back to the arena screen and now the arena I tried is locked...

The arena has been having problems these past few days. Sometimes when I attack, it kicks me out and into some other page (like character). I can get back in when I click on the bazaar equipment link. Sometimes the arena battle ends on my first attack, and it goes into cooldown. I receive nothing.

Yeah, I've had similar freakouts of the client. Another one I had was during an hourly, I seemed to get another battle in which both battles alternated for about 10 turns. Then the second one disappeared and I was back to the original. The two battles kept separate statuses (the infusion I used in one round was not in effect in the other, for instance) but my HP/MP/SP carried over between the two. I don't know if it's also related to the bug, but I got about 125k EXP for winning it, on IWBTH (the standard for the amount of monsters in the battle for me is 25k, the other had 2 more monsters which brings that one to ~35k)

It's a known issue after memory cache crashed. QUOTE Q: I jumped to a new fight instead of going to the next turn! Just wait a few minutes and it should re-establish the connection to the node and load your battle again.
