Because there is a lot of good art that fits in the Western Art category, even though there is also a lot of crappy art. It's the same with Japanese art. Oh, and welcome to the site.

The Wiki pages would need to thoroughly cleaned up & updated too.

You can no longer set new uploads to use the categories Non-H and Asian Porn, as these are being phased out. Already uploaded galleries will still be available for some time, but they will eventually be removed, so grab them if you want them.

Furthermore, photographic material of real people is no longer allowed unless it fits under the "Cosplay" category, which will still remain.

On the other hand, at this time there will not be a blanket ban on relevant Non-H material - which can still be posted in Misc - but Non-H manga may not be posted in any category. Note however that everything that remains in the Non-H category will be removed from the site when the invisible timer runs out.

Tenboro, could you please forcibly move all galleries with the "artbook" tag from the non-h category to the misc one?

I've always loved the amount good artbooks we could find on the site, and it'd save us the trouble from reuploading all of them under the misc category.

Will there be a clean-up of the expunged galleries too, especially with reference to the removal of the 2 categories?

I don't have the figures, but I do know that quite of number of galleries that "belonged" to the 2 categories were originally posted (intentionally/unintentionally) by the OP under the wrong category but were quickly expunged.

Searching through the "Misc" galleries now, I already see some of these "wrongly-categorised" expunged galleries.

Here's just an idea, galleries that had been tagged with "realporn" should be cleaned up too? What do you think?

Edit: A tag search on expunged "realporn" shows at least 10,000 (that the current search limit). Surely removing these will help improve the resources.

the non-h have been a way for some to send and keep raw volume of series but lately there as been abuse.

i have seen series of 30's volume uploaded , tenboro don't want to have trouble with the us/jap edition society so he remove them.

Many people are here for many reasons. Most are here for the porn, but some also like the non-hentai.

I would really prefer that the Non-H category be left alone.

I can understand removing Naruto or whatever, you know, commercial SFW manga that are allowed in just about any manga reading/downloading site. But I think Non-H doujins such as Touhou (just an example, I don't mean Touhou should be the only non-H doujin allowed) that would be near-impossible to find otherwise and borderline-H manga that wouldn't be acceptable in most places should stay put.

maybe not in you country but in mine it's licensed and some scantrad team ceased doing it.

even if it's slow to publish and some team continue to do it at their own risk (work based on the english team).

that's a fact you can purchase it legaly (maybe not in your own language).
