This change to burden and evade made mages better at evasion, since phase armor has no burden (and the highest evade of all the cloth armors, and the best cloth in general) and even the burden on staffs were reduced.
Sure, new shade apparently also have 0 burden, but melee weapons still got more burden than staffs.
And sure again, with ethereal weapons, a light armor melee could get down to 0 burden and full evade, but so could a mage with an ethereal staff.
Although melees have a lot more use for ethereal than mages.

But still, mages got hurt very little in their evade, while melees got hurt a lot, including light armor users.
The only thing that hurt mages evade was the removal of the grace limit. But that on the other hand hurt melees a lot, all except those than can get a new suit of shade gear.
Kevlar definetly got hurt, and lost is position as an more defensive alternative to the more offensive shade.
Now shade rules supreme and kevlar is the poor mans choice.

It should work on every browser. Except Opera since nothing ever works on Opera.
To change the hotkey, just change the q on line 9 to whatever letter you want (lowercase) and reinstall the script; some hotkeys may be reserved for the browser though.

Anyone knows what happened with the physical damage in this update? I am a light armor warrior with a shield
I have superior rapier of slaughter 400 weapon damage which what I see around is quite good, and 1450 base damage, 94%hit chance, but since this update I got somehow much weaker than I was. Before it took me some 2 hits to kill a monster, now it takes 4-5 hits for most of them. What went wrong? How can I increase my damage?

Also anyone knows how defence works?
If I have 41 physical defence, when monster deals 500 damage does it mean I get hit for 459?
If it works that way then I think defence is useless since it absorbes almost nothing, and the most important thing in a shield is block chance and low burden and interference. Is that correct?

I lost ~3.5-5% evade on my main sets, so about ~4-5.5% total avoidance (burden, SV, parry). Only the vendor staves had their burden reduced. Trying to find an ethereal staff with decent (not even equivalent) damage stats is close to impossible (something to do with staves having too many stat rolls).

Though replacing all your gear and pretty much requiring an ethereal weapon to play does suck more (some of the older mages can probably relate). You should come out on top with 2H proficiency's parry bonus once/if you do though.

Next patch better have some crazy damage buffs (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

The item world really needs to be fixed.
I've just been ejected on Level 191 on Heroic with great stamina. I realized the difficulty was too high around 120 but thought I could push through with double haste and double shadow veil.

Suggestion: Cap it at 100 levels. Would still be tedious enough.

In hindsight, I like this patch.

Found a bug, on the bazaar screen when you click on an item in your inventory and then click on the same type of item in the bazaar it shows a 0 x 0 credit price instead of the usual 1 x something.
It also works the other way.

From what I understand, armor proficiency only matters if I'm completely decked out in a specific armor type (Cloth, Light, Heavy). Can you change this so that we get 1/5 of the bonus for each individual armor piece?
We armor mixers aren't feeling any Proficient Love.

You must be trolling me.

Pruned/edited out all the useless/rhetorical stuff you put in.

Majority of active melee users with more than half a brain already have a (few) use-able ethereal weapon in their possession. Majority of active mages with more than half a brain do *not* use an ethereal staff and will not in the near future unless some big change occurs.

You talk about a new suit of shade and it being such a big deal. You do know its drop rate is probably higher than phase right?

As for that comment about Kevlar vs Shade - Wow.

well, that sucks big time. slows the game down a lot. I don't have a whole day to clean out a few monsters.
I wish there was something that would compensate it, maybe weapon damage increased to 1000 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
