That would mean the monsters I'm fighting will kill me faster and the ones I fought so far mostly are Giants. Can't use Maces as much anymore if a giant lands a killing blow on me.

So the game is basically mages only now, right?

My heavy armour set is at 0% evade, 0% block, 5.2% parry and 1.6% resist. 94.8 Interference, 99.1 Burden.

Light armour is at 2.8% evade, 0% block, 10.9% parry and 28.8% resist. 48.2 Interference, 53.5 burden.

The only problem is that I'm at level 76, so most of my ability points are put into health and exp bonus.

Seriously, I got wiped out on the higher arena matches. I couldn't heal enough, though I admit I didn't use all my items. But I didn't even get close before getting wiped out.

Humbug.

I can't figure out my stastistics because the information is cascading down the page like a jumbled pile of broken data.



I think I have 74 interference and I don't know what my burden is, as it's cut off the page. I think my agility under primary atributes is 227.

If you're using custom local fonts, it's probably caused by the fixed-height divs. Try switching to the default font.
And you should be able to scroll the pane.

Merciful Blow hits Flying Spaghetti Monster for 237669 slashing damage.
BWHAHAHAHAH and that was a normal at like 17% health
Also noticed that the orbital cannon was beefed up (did like ~25000) I seem to recall
skills seem pretty cool

In this obscure part of the world where I live there's a saying similar to "cutting off the nose to spite the face", only with "balls" in place of "nose" and "wife" instead of "face"...

Looks to me that here's the same.

I'm a light armored dualwield/niten fighter around level 100. My survivability has just been cut in half, from 40 rounds to 20 on normal grindfest.

My chances to tackle Real Life on normal are just about zero, right now.

Pressing buttons twice as fast won't do me any good.

It's because the server adds 2 instead of subtracting 2 to get the "small" font size

Don't be disheartened. I'm also using HA Melee with a 2H Exquisite Mace, but it is still playable (Normal/Hard).
I'm using mixed Power/Shield & my Avoidance/Compromise currently is at: 0 % evade, 5 % block, 5.4 % parry, 3.6 % resist, 98.2 interference, 78.6 burden.
I've also fully tanked Weaken/Haste/Shadow Veil/Bewilder.

I haven't tried out on the higher levels yet, right now I too am testing the "new waters". We just have to play with what we have on hand, trying to earn more credits to get better equipment along the way, & of course, "PRAY" hard that the game gets improved overall for the enjoyment for all types of style.

After fighting FSM and doing Crusade on Heroic, my opinions:

DW Skills
Iris Strike: Was this nerfed? Against FSM with Nerf, Weaken, Stun and PA, and me with Heartseeker, Spirit Stance and Divinity Infusion, Iris Strike did about 1/4 of the damage it did in the last patch. Regular enemies now routinely survive this as well thanks to their newfound HP.

Backstab: Unless I'm missing something, this is just a stronger Iris Strike minus Blind and with an absurdly short Poison proc. Like the power, not loving Poison's duration.

Frenzied Blows: Loving this in RoB fights. Somewhat disappointed in others. I assumed it'd always hit one foe, so I guess I was surprised when I used it against 3 bosses at the end of Crusade and found that it divided the hits. With this in mind, I'll test it against to see how useful it is against groups of monsters that don't have RoB enemies, but I suspect it'll be a poor-man's Shatter Strike in terms of damage output. Will also see how this plays out in EoD later on.

HP Boost to Monsters
Now that I've fought plenty of rounds firsthand, I really do stand by my point that the HP Boost is way too high. There's making the game more challenging, and then there's making the game extremely tedious. This falls under the latter, IMO. Crusade on Heroic in this patch took longer than it did on Nightmare in the last patch. I dread how long EoD may take...

Spells
The increased duration is certainly nice thanks to Interference not affecting duration, but the increased number of turns it takes to kill monsters completely nullifies this. Spirit Stance's Mana Cost decrease is also good, but managing Spirit Stance is becoming increasingly tedious.

Overall: Decent patch. Like the skills, changes to Burden & Interference might need some getting used to (mostly in terms of Evade and Mana Cost, IMO), no opinion on changes to Shade (yet) or Staffs. Only real complaint is the HP boost.

i barely finished exile on normal using 6 greater mana,not fun anymore,every turn i cast 2 spells times to kill all monsters (with arcane heart),spirit stance tedious and not usefull.

I remember that, constantly had to keep up the support spells. If you ever let your hp go down to half, some cheapass would smack you and take you out. Lost afew arena battles back then by being lazy with my mp or not wanting to use a health potion right away.

31% block,

93.5 for interference

Im moving like a total slug now, and with all these stats and the new patch in effect, it's as if I am playing on Nightmare Level instead of "balanced fun"

I guess those who have a full set of shadowdancer before this patch are the only ones who might be buffed, because they are not sucked by the new burden penalty and gain benift for the low interference. With the newly added skill, this game might be enjoyable for them.

For mages, it is a disaster. The moster got buffered so we can not kill them fast even in normal. When they fight back, we are just kicked out of the game. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
