Actually OC change is not that awful. Did a long as Arena on Heroic. Allö 3-4 Rounds I got a free win thanks to Scatter Strike (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

All we need is a hotkey for skills!

I think the need for skill hot keys were anticipated. To my knowledge and to the wiki's knowledge, Ctrl+"numpad" doesn't do anything.

Also, I was player HV earlier and than

Well, to be fair, the lack of auto-heal at the end of arenas affects melees and mages pretty equally.
More something put in to make us use the heal tokens that most of us have been storing up on.
Or to spread out our playing a bit, instead of doing all arenas in one batch.

My "You are Victorious" bit after clearing a level is now under the rest of the stuff on the page. Not that big of a deal, but it is a bit harder to see where to click to continue. I'm guessing it is because I use IE, but I thought I would report it.

Looks like you can combine Spirit Mode with the weapon ability.

Were there changes to the Drop rate in the arenas? It might just be me, but I'm not seeing tons of equipment anymore.

They're still there, but not as much anymore. Really hard for newcomers to succeed when they start out with no equipment and some magic. Really have to get credits to buy some better equipment and items.

Truthfully quite a bit of this patch seems to really hurt the lower level players like me. Examples being that I had very few healing tokens before patch, now I have to ration them, which has caused me to only be able to complete a handful of the arena challenges each day as opposed to all of them. Not to mention that having to recert into a mage at my level means that I tend to get slammed a lot by enemies, making the problem worse. Not to mention that shortly before the patch and after the patch I have noticed that the drops from enemies are NOWHERE near as good as they were. Example being that before I might get 3-5 items from the end of an arena match, now all I get is small handful of potions.

I think I have some superior level mage gear I can part with because I never use it. I'll have to look into giving it to you guys or something.

I am very pleased with the RiddleMaster changes. Not sure when this was, but... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I'll reserve judgment on the rest until I play some more.

I've been trying out spirit mode the past day, and I don't understand why it is balanced to slowly lose overcharge while not using skills, just attacking. Since you lose one spirit a round, you should be able to maintain your overcharge with a successful hit, only dropping when you cast a spell or miss your target. Or at least be able to GAIN overcharge with a counter or offhand strike or something. For melee, it seems like the spirit drain would be enough cost, unless you want to use your skills.
I'm currently trying to Battlemage, and dual wielding mostly for profs. Personally I am glad to see skills getting introduced, and I find the attitude of many players that anything that interferes with their ability to do all the arenas and their max number of itemworlds ruins the game for them. Yeah, maybe it is because I don't play that way, but I have been frustrated by several updates that seemed to only help the best players or those with the best equip. This one is introducing two long-discussed mechanics (skills and forge) and at least one of them is good for everyone, casual or power player..
Even more annoying are the complaints about not being able to play the way you want. There is no god given right to be able to clear arenas at IWBTH. If you want to melee (or battlemage), then DO IT! Just figure out what levels are good and go for it. Next update everything will change again and you will have to re-learn the game anyway.
Oh, and for the record, I DLed Firefox. The other game I play all day doesn't run right on FF, but it is worth it to have HV running so well.

Overcharge makes you do about the same melee damage you used to.
Bonus ?
You now also lose spirit points while using spirit mode.
Cool huh ?

Now that Tokens of Blood drop more often, maybe the Cooldown for RoB can be removed?

I see a few people still at it... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) ... Well... I'll have to admitted, bitching is just too fun. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

::A little suggestion to Tenb::

People already asked for no 'spirit attack' type skill. My suggestion is to make skills that supplement the fighting style, not enhancing the existing capabilities of the style.

Shatter Strike is a pretty good skill, I'll admitted. But such skills only make 2H, which is already a good fighting style, even more attractive and there's already a case of people who ditched 1H to 2H solely because of this.

Even though logically it doesn't really make sense, but IMO skills that hits all mobs should be able to use by 1H or DW since they badly in need for one. This scenario is just one example of the 'supplement' skills I'm talking about. You can do it however you see fits if you like this idea. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Yeah, and give 2H a single target high damage skill to make all styles completely the same. That'd be the tits.
