Incidentally, I only read posts - not novelettes. If your post can't fit on my 27" monitor, the likelihood of me reading it is very small.

So what's your resolution set at, 1280x720? I've got a 24" monitor and some of these posts already don't fit on it.

Look at the posts by Random (yeah sorry, they're long). Once mace is fucked up it's the end of the world. Now that's 1 dimensional thinking if there ever was such a thing. Needless to say, I was pretty peeved with this type of mentality and I saw posts along the lines of how T fucked up melee etc (really childish). And that was why I made the opening statement that there was a lot of whining.

That's OK, he doesn't need to look at my long posts, because apparently neither did you.

Because if you had, you would notice I didn't ahve anything to say about maces.
I complained about them in the last patch, when they were buffed, because I correctly predicted that they would completely OMGWTF-overpower all other melee weapons.

My complaining is about melee damage output, and how the changes to OC have crippled higher-leveled melees in that regard.


But I will no longer complain about that. After all, it is no longer my problem.
I've switched over to mage now.


But my sense of justice still tells me that melees got screwed over unfairly.

Apparently the solution is to make lots of posts, instead of trying to be effective and save some space by doing it all in one post.

Have you even read the link I give you? CM got fixed months ago (click to read) ... The 2H gain multiple OC bug (which didn't really give any real benefits before this patch) got fixed a few days ago. I see no connection between the 2 bugs.

Meh, you don't get it (or just did a TL;DR and skipped it). They were separate but related fixes. From an algorithmic point of view, there's really no difference between hitting 6 monsters with melee and getting OC on only 1 of them and hitting 6 monsters with a spell and getting CM on only one of them. You have the same mechanics with different names. I read that release note with the rest of us, by the way.

I am increasingly suspicious that no one here actually watched the entirety of the series; it was just an elaborate ploy to get you to do it. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Why am I thinking of a certain game where the more you know, the lower your sanity points go? The elderich conspiracy-themed game. Try to lure your rivals to know too much because NO ONE CAN WIN IT so might as well have fun! It's like Wargames with the Thermonuclear Global Warfare simulation.

you are getting way too pissy over a text based game
i can melee through arenas on heroic very easy with just kevlar and a ethereal scythe before i got my scythe i used a regular scythe or an ethereal estoc

178 7 Global Warming crits you for 1474 fire damage.
178 6 Your spirit shield absorbs 7758 points of damage from the attack into 46 points of spirit damage.
178 5 Manbearpig casts Global Warming

I only have 5900 HP and 478 SP. That is all.

Note: they didn't have Spirit Shield.
