Playing HV now requires better Battle Management Skills in order to survive longer.
Is there by any chance the Arena Clear Bonus (especially after it had been cleared the first time round) for all arenas be Increased/Upped?

I was hoping the forge would provide something for equipment that isn't overpowered already. Right now I have nothing that would be worth upgrading.
Oh well.
Edit: Scan doesn't seem to work anymore.

QUOTE(wr4st3r @ Dec 24 2011, 22:05) Could you give us some insight on that overcharge bonus thing on my previous post? Was the melee damage reduction intended?
It seems you didn't use Spirit Mode for the 0.6.3 damage you shown ... In your case, with full 120% OC in 0.6.2, you do 40% more damage than what you could do now without using Spirit Mode.

Do love the new spirit mode and new weapon skills (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Too bad we can't name our skills anymore. I really do want it shows something like "Here it comes, super saiyan!!" or "Strike Freedom! Burst mode!!" whenever I use spirit mode (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Still wait for the mode which lets us summon our monster (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This post has been edited by Thanatos Zero: Dec 24 2011, 18:23

I know that we deal more damage in Spirit mode Buk (why 40 % though? Changelog says +100 % damage, not +100 % overcharge), but I was more interested in the previous Overcharge bonus - I thought it was kinda negligeable, with only 10 APs, but seems like that was not the case. Besides, if you go Spirit mode you kinda lose the weapon skills, as it drains 10 % Overcharge per round, whereas the previous bonus was up 100 % of the time. Guess it'll require more testing, but clearing arenas is taking more potions and rounds (Heroic clear on Feast for Crows, from 3 Glodlies to 5), so things are tougher :E

Some thoughts on the new "super-special title."
For starters, it's buggy as hell. When people imbue you or if you imbue someone, your karma and power level stays static and doesn't update until you manually turn off Dovahkiin. Second, Fus Ro Dah is pretty lackluster, it could use some revamping. Major ones. Third, besides the skill, there doesn't seem to be any boosts except a measly five damage increase which is only on par with Lord. Godslayer still blows it out of the water. Also, saying you have "The power of the Dragonborn" doesn't really help.

You know what IS good for me in this patch? I just went mage and when I found out that 0.6.3 is up I was all like "FFFUUU~ I have to revert once again". Thanks, Tenboro, great job. I will NOT revert to melee for sure. Awesome. Thumbs up. </SORAKAsm>

Is there any point in fleeing a battle now? I found fleeing a battle used to heal you, but there doesn't seem to be any point now.

You misunderstood me and how OC used to work. Before this patch, even if you don't put any point in OC boost at all, you still get 33% dmg bonus. Say you have a full overcharge bar of 120 and you do 1000 dmg per hit: - Before this patch = Your damage x 1 + (Your current overcharge / 300) >> 1000 x 1.4 = 1400- In this patch without Spirit Mode = Your damage = 1000- In this patch with Spirit Mode = Your damage x 2 = 2000This system may benefits new player since their OC is still low. But for high lv melee with 280 OC, it's basically make melee much, much shittier. You lost a lot and got nothing... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) That's why I never was a fan of melee skill since I knew that once it implemented, it will turn melee gameplay into a shitty, wannabee mage... QUOTE(Sushilicious @ Dec 24 2011, 05:53) It's very godly. It gives a whopping five damage bonus. Not one, not two, not three, but five.
So +5% damage, a skill, and that's it? QUOTE(HorridGuest @ Dec 24 2011, 09:40) Is there any point in fleeing a battle now? I found fleeing a battle used to heal you, but there doesn't seem to be any point now.
Saves a bit of health over dying. *shrug*

Bleh.
Spirit mode isn't too bad. Unfortunately, I had almost maxed out my Overcharge Boost anyway, so getting a temporary 100% damage bonus isn't nearly as good as a permanent 90% damage bonus. It'd be nice if the melee damage bonus were increased to 125-150% or so, but that might make it too overpowered... Well, I dunno.

I think he's trying to balance it so that it doesn't become a mage on steroids (ie AOE skill that doesn't cost anything). I assumed melee skills would require spirit instead and be boosted my overdrive % (since most melees will have spirit tanks anyway and this would make spirit potions far more useful). Guess I was wrong though. I like the change that went into the item shop though. So much more clean (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Before this patch, I had re-invested 25 AP (from my spirit tank) into OC, bringing my OC to 150% during battles. Now, with this new patch, will it be more worthwhile to re-invest these AP back into my spirit tanks? This post has been edited by cyberwaveIT: Dec 24 2011, 20:00

That didn't actually have anything to do with the title, but some mismatched library versions on Classic. Try it now.
