In my opinion, the script will just have to be reworded slightly to reduce the amount of wording this series seems to have (it's almost like western comics). And don't space the words like paragraphs either; that's only adding to the space consumption.

Hmm... you know, the doujinshi I'm working on has a page spread (just one, thank god) in it with a gap. Would you be interested in joining it up for me? Obviously, I'll post a bounty reward for the work, but only if you're willing to do it.

I finished the 2nd page spread you listed in the bounty, and am about half done with the first spread. Will have them done tomorrow.

As for the KG doujin, I think I'll have to postpone that until next week so I can finish some editing some of my own bounties. 4 translation bounties completed in a week. @_@

Hey guys, could I get some feedback on this one?
I know someone is already handling the editing on this one, but since I'm new I thought I could use any help I could get.
Also: What's a good time limit for an average editing job? I want to take on some projects, but on most days I think I'd only have enough time to do a couple pages. Is this fast enough?

You might want to do a bit of leveling to clean up the noise in the image. If you don't want to damage the art, then at least white-fill the text bubbles so they don't have those specks. Typesetting is good, you have a good feel for how the text should look. One thing I've found helpful when there's not a lot of space is shortening the ellipsis from three dots to two. You still convey the fact that the character is trailing off, but you save some space.

As far as time limits go, it really depends on how long the bounty poster is willing to wait. Also, it depends on how much work needs to be done. Erasing text in bubbles and placing the type should be fairly quick. Redrawing or cloning (for example, the infamous Kiddy Grade doujin discussed for the last page or so) can be very difficult, so taking a long time is understandable. You should probably limit yourself to short doujins with not a lot to do first, and then as you get a better feel for editing and improve your speed, start getting more ambitious.

That's unfortunate that it's not leveled correctly as I thought I was doing it (though my method must obviously be incorrect). I'm using Photoshop and am trying to do the leveling changes with the eye dropper. My black and white levels are 0 and 255, is it possible I'm making the settings but just not pressing the right button to make it have an effect? Could I ask you to correctly level the picture I made so I can see the difference?
You very clearly have much better eyes then I do as I had to zoom in a lot to see those specs (must have missed them when I was cleaning in the first place) and everything looks pretty black and white to me. I'll keep working on improving my eyes for color by taking a few small projects, thanks again (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

To be honest the eye dropper method is the most basic of leveling , as you become more proficient with cleaning and leveling you will learn there are as many ways to do the job as there are people that actually do it.

I'm also a new editor and have had several friends of mine teach me different ways of cleaning from basic eye dropper to multi layer scale cleaning which can be much nicer if you take the time to really eyeball the work you're doing.

Just remember black specks on the white background and vice versa are not good and you will get better the more you do it!

Can I ask where you got the raw image? Your attachment is much larger than the image in the galleries. I originally thought it was a leveling problem, but I think all the noise I saw is actually artifacts from the image being scaled up. Try it again but with the raw image here and no upscaling.

Much nicer. Just like Rookie was saying about leveling. The only thing is, I suggest using the magic wand on whatever parts and then level the selected area. Whiting out a section can be rougher on the line drawings compared to leveling.

And Mr. Plow, I too use PS (high five!) and simply rolled the white back from 255 to about 235 to clear it up if that helps.

Updated my editing bounty list with 3 new doujins on list.

Do note that I haven't actually put up the bounties yet, but all the info you need is already listed. The editing bounty price is flat 5000c + 5hath per doujin listing. Also added a requirement who hasn't done any of my editing bounties in past to sumbit me 2-3 pages of editing work so I can evaluate for quality and help correct any mistakes.
