The person making the claim risks losing credits an rank [reputation?] but the person who made the bounty doesn't risk anything? Doesn't seem fair, what if they turn you down just to be spiteful? I would only fix things that look like censorship or sound too awkward. That's not to say I want to fill the script up with profanity and dirty talk [like LWB..] but I do want the text to fit the scene. If I guy calls his dick a 'hyper weapon' I know that's not censorship. But if he says 'my thing' or 'my penis' or 'I'm going to release it' while balls deep inside a girl then yeah.. That sounds too dumb to be in porn. Nobody talks like that when they're fucking.

Believe me, i've worked with alot of translators and have seen all kinds of scripts. The authors sometime do literally mean the most outlandish phrase they can think of just like they meant to draw dick nipples with larva coming out..... Aside from that, don't worry about people being spiteful, as long as your translation is decent and not engrish or flat out crap, you'd be fine. Your worst fear is for someone else to get the same thing uploaded by Saha/Desu, but that's understandable. And i'm certain you'd have to have a bad streak to have your rank lowered. And if some shlub does deny you, screw him, upload the finished doujin yourself.

On the off chance there is a bounty dispute, Ten would moderate it. But the 10k cost was added to stop spam false claims, and we have had no problems (or moderation requests) in the few months since it was implemented.

Ha! That's like playing with wildfire, and could probably turn on you. And what I meant was that they might just remove the bounty altogether since it'd be a waste to give it to someone who did zip to earn it. Something to remember for future bountying.

There's a fine line between changing things to match the impact you imagine the original scene had on average Japanese reader, and making your own version of them. In my opinion, if it would sound dumb in the original scene, it should sound dumb in translation. If there was profanity in the original language, there should be matching one in translation.

I've never heard of any translation on E-Hentai being rejected because it didn't match the bounty poster's tastes. Perhaps this isn't a problem, as no one got even close to being too 'creative' yet?

So what happens when multiple people accept or claim an edit bounty? Does the poster get to chose which one he likes most? Then whoever got theirs turned down, is that not the same as a rejection? That's another risk, maybe you won't lose the credits but you did waste the time and effort.

No, it's one claim only. But we've been talked about being dicks with ninja claiming and proper etiquette. As for multiple people accepting, they're usually trolls with no intention of claiming it, so most of us simply put "PM First" or "Put a proper comment when accepting".

I replied to you about that in the other thread that you mentioned that. I'll include it here anyway:

Actually, I've decided to the editing of that chapter on hold indefinitely. I'm going to wait until the tank scan comes out, then I'll have the whole thing translated by a proper translator.

Right now, about half of the translated Dorei Usagi to Anthony chapters were done poorly (both editing and translations), and the damage's already done. Better just wait for the tank scans and do it all over, rather than work with LQ scans.

I do have a couple of stuff that needs to be edited listed in this thread, as well as two potentials that may be added there soon. If you're still interested in doing some editing, hop over there and check it out. Also, if you've done some editing work before, can you share them with me so I can have an idea of of your work. If not, you could edit few pages from the bounty you're interested in and send them in for me to check.

To be honest, I already made up my mind about this some time ago, just never got around to withdrawing the bounty due to having other stuff to do.

I'll do it, but it'll take me alittle longer than I hoped for since my laptop is apparently ka-put, which will put a dent in my editing for the time being XP

I might need some help with leveling for the time being since my desktop is way too bright making even grayish pages look white.

Even I don't trust my own eyes. I use info to get the values of color to make sure I'm getting 100% white or black.

Scratch that last request. It seems ok for the time being. What I do need though is an editor/artist for this. Okano Hajime's art is way too good for my clone stamping abilities and I don't wanna take the easy way out and make bubbles/boxes since it's so pretty.

Offer is for 15,000C + 15 hath (bonus 5+5 for a really nice job). There's no real deadline, but under 2 weeks would be ideal.

I'm looking for an editor!... sorta. I wanna do those two Spiral of Conflict doujin's I have left, but also got Silent Saturn to do. The only hold up with SoC is that there's a bunch of random moans/SFX bubbles that are tedious, so i'm looking for someone to handle my light work while I work on the main text. It only requires two fonts for their respective placements.

I'm putting up 25k Credits + 25 Hath for each one that's payed (by me) as soon as your job's complete instead of waiting on me to make the final claim. It's first come, first serve but i'm only giving it to a genuine editor and not some random dude on the street saying they can do it.
