Hello, Not a translation issue in itself, but I can't get what the fox girl is saying at the bottom right panel of this page: ![Attached Image](https://forums.e-hentai.org/uploads/post-6539134-1717454020_thumb.jpg) Due to the poor quality. It'd be helpful if someone could read it.

Yeah, that's definitely plausible. I'll go with that then, thanks.

You need to figure out what 世の中舐める/世を舐める means, as well as the ~切る grammar (https://nihongokyoshi-net.com/2019/05/22/jlptn3-grammar-kiru/) . Googling should easily help you.

Greetings, I finished a translation of a doujin, but I want to make sure about some parts of it, since the translation is finished I'll put all my doubts in a single post: Story's link in case be needed: https://e-hentai.org/g/2964300/499e97851e/Title: (妖詣~あやかしもうで~): Ghostly pilgrimage Context: is the story about an Ayakashi trapped in a temple and how it manages to make its escape, I went for pilgrimage since refers to the visit to a sacred place. ![Attached Image](https://forums.e-hentai.org/uploads/post-1980568-1719526672_thumb.jpg) Context: Mother is congratulating his son for his grades, so she serves him a special dish. (よく頑張ったわね...): You did a great job... (今夜は「トクベ ツ」よ。): So tonight is special. ![Attached Image](https://forums.e-hentai.org/uploads/post-1980568-1719526974_thumb.jpg) Context: the first breast that guy is touching. (すごい… お母さん以外のっ...!): Amazing... not counting mom's... (大人の女の人のおっぱい...!): These are the tits of a grown woman...! ![Attached Image](https://forums.e-hentai.org/uploads/post-1980568-1719527135_thumb.jpg) Context: Someone got a porn book and they seem to be surprised because it's not censored, the thing is that I don't get what is "黒いのが" here, someone suggested that it refers to black censorship bars not being present and it seems to be the case. (げっ! ...黒いのが入ってねーじゃん!!): Shit! ...This is not censored!! (どうだスゲーだろ!): It’s amazing, isn’t it!? (へー女のあそこってこうなってんだ...): Wow, so this is what a woman's pussy looks like... That's all, thank you for your time.

This is fine. QUOTE (今夜は「トクベ ツ」よ。): So tonight is special. As you've pointed out, the dish (the melon) is special, not the night. So the translation's grammar needs to be fixed. "So here's something special for tonight." QUOTE Context: the first breast that guy is touching. (すごい… お母さん以外のっ...!): Amazing... not counting mom's...
This is okay, but expanding it to "Amazing… Breasts, other than Mom's…" might sound better. QUOTE Context: Someone got a porn book and they seem to be surprised because it's not censored, the thing is that I don't get what is "黒いのが" here, someone suggested that it refers to black censorship bars not being present and it seems to be the case. Correct.

Got it, thanks for the help.
Then to be more specific I'll let the breasts speech as:
(すごい… お母さん以外のっ...!): Amazing... not counting mom's breasts... (大人の女の人のおっぱい...!): These are the first tits of an adult woman I've ever touched...!

This line is more likely, "Amazing… boobs other than my mom's...!" because he's seeing another woman's breasts for the first time other than his own mother's. Then his next line goes, "A grown woman's boobs...!"

I'm working on the third work in this anthology (COMIC kisshug vol. 4, pages 55-78), and want to make sure I get my terminology right on a touchy subject. The male lead rapes the female lead in a bathroom stall. That's what happens. The tricky part is that later, she tells him about how she was really turned on by it during and after the fact. Specifically, she refers to the experience as "犯された" (page 61, last panel), which as far as I can tell could be translated to "raped", but might more accurately be "violated" or "perpetrated a crime against". The ultimate meaning may be the same, but if it's a euphemism I want to reflect that in the TL. Does anyone have knowledge of this particular topic in a Japanese context (in this case, the character speaking is a university student)? I really want to get this bit right.

Does anyone have knowledge of this particular topic in a Japanese context (in this case, the character speaking is a university student)? I really want to get this bit right. Grammar-wise, the girl's statement (あなた に…犯 された) that she was raped by the guy is clear. It's different from if the sentence was something like あなた が罪を犯 した, where the offence is unclear and you might be able to get away with saying that the guy "committed a crime." I don't think there's any reason to avoid using the word "rape." Sex with no consent = rape. Trying to fudge the girl's statement to lessen the guy's crime would be dishonest. Pretending that it wasn't rape because she admitted she was aroused during the act also doesn't make sense to me. As for "violated," it's often used to mean "raped" unless you want to get technical about it (all rape is violation or sexual assault, but not all violation or sexual assault is rape). Much appreciated!
And yeah, fully agreed on not lessening what the guy does: I want to be sure that my translation is exactly as harsh on him as the author is, including the girl's description of events.

So I’m currently done with the translation script of https://e-hentai.org/g/2040580/1659be8048/ and would like to get feedback on whether there might be better ways to translate or phrase some parts in context. For each entry, I’ll put the page, the original sentence, my current translation, and any comments if needed.
Page 6: https://e-hentai.org/s/655ebc3b02/2040580-6 頭が高いんだよ “Acting all high and mighty. “ I do wonder if the sentence shouldn’t be taken more literally in that context.
Page 8: https://e-hentai.org/s/5aa1651d90/2040580-8 女なんかじゃ 膝をつかされ ちゃう〜❤ “Any woman would be brought to her knees~” For context here, she's pretenting that his punch had an effect on her.
Page 23: https://e-hentai.org/s/0439d3908c/2040580-23 あらら・・・ ここも 捕まえてほしいの・ “Oh my….Perhaps you want me to catch you here too…” “Oh my…Does this little guy/thing here want to be captured too...?” I wonder which one is more fitting here. I’m leaning towards the second one for now (which is also what I did page 28) Also: "のし" *Squish*
Page 31: https://e-hentai.org/s/10c8c2aa94/2040580-31 ちんちくりんで女の子に相手されなくても “Even if you are short and aren’t taken seriously by girls…”
Page 37: https://e-hentai.org/s/505e9c75d2/2040580-37 ちっさ~ 踏み潰したいそー❤ “So tiny~ I want to do some trampling~❤” Can’t tell if she meant him or his penis in particular, so for now I kept it ambiguous Decided to go with "I want to stomp on you"
Edit: Welp, no answer and I'm pretty much done editing, so I guess I'll just go with my guts. This post has been edited by moodyclaus: Jul 30 2024, 00:39

Good day dear community, I would like to ask a question that bugs me a longer while. In this doujin the girl starts getting fucked by 2 men. On the left side of this page she says first もう無理ズラ. I can't do it anymore, zura. After it there follows: 二人なんて... What does the Nante do there? Would it be maybe a なんと with it being "How"? Deepl translator even gives back "How can / could both of you / two peple... Can't otherwise get my mind around it what the なんて could otherwise do / stand for there. The only thing I get is that it may be related to the other sentence in that page where she realized that there is suddenly a dick up her ass as well. https://e-hentai.org/s/289792a8f0/1477004-31This post has been edited by Draugarnor94: Aug 13 2024, 19:03

[ nihongokyoshi-net.com] https://nihongokyoshi-net.com/2018/06/06/jl...-grammar-nante/"How" is not wrong because it can be used to express disbelief or surprise. For example, "How can you do such a thing to me?" is usually not a question about the method by which the thing is done. It is an expression of the speaker's surprise or disbelief. "No way!", "I can't believe…", "Are you serious?" and even plain "What?!" can be suitable translations for なんて depending on the situation and how you're phrasing the translated sentences. EDIT: なんだと and なんと are different. What I said only applies to なんだと. なんと and なんて are used interchangeably. This post has been edited by rinruririn: Aug 14 2024, 05:16

So it could be really that the sentence may mean then "How can both of you..." Feeling like after the なんて there should be more, but it was simply cut abruptly. My guess would be still that in that moment Maru was like: "Hold on, how are both of you fucking me". I read about it that it adds emphasis, but I was not sure due the translations sites were giving off for the word itself till I then stumbled upon it that it is similar to なんと. Thank you very much for your time! Your explenation helped a lot! QUOTE(rinruririn @ Aug 13 2024, 20:37) ![*](style_images/ambience/post_snapback.gif) [ nihongokyoshi-net.com] https://nihongokyoshi-net.com/2018/06/06/jl...-grammar-nante/"How" is not wrong because it can be used to express disbelief or surprise. So なんと is specifically used as a response to something that was said and is often translated as something like "What did you/he/she say?!" But again, the actual translation may depend on other factors.

Saw the Dm, will keep it in mind. On another matter, playing with online translators it seems that the hunch with the "how" is right. Noticed tho that a) the ニ人 misses とも to be translated as "both of you" and instead it should be "two people" (?). Or can the とも be left away and it could still mean "both of you" (?). The other b. ) thing that i notice is that when it is ニ人なんて the sentence seems to turn out now "Two people, how" ... instead of "how can two people". But I assume it is due to the sentence not being complete?
