Hey guys, how's going. :] Currently working on the chapter 7 for Shuuchi Nikurin, I'm in dire need of help with this line here :S QUOTE あの人の前でも晋一郎君のメスだってわからせてあげて Source: https://e-hentai.org/s/ef95a8adaf/480064-167 (middle panel on the bottom) I'm assuming it's guy with the glasses talking because later on he insists on calling her "mesubuta" but... what is he saying? That he'll make him (Shin'ichirou) understand in front of her that's she is Shin'ichirou's sow/slave? I get he doesn't mind getting NTR'd lol but that still doesn't make much sense to me... :E Thanks in advance!

QUOTE(wr4st3r @ Mar 4 2013, 23:17) I'm assuming it's guy with the glasses talking because later on he insists on calling her "mesubuta" but... what is he saying? That he'll make him (Shin'ichirou) understand in front of her that's she is Shin'ichirou's sow/slave? Well, it's Harumi's line. And says "Show him(Tooru) that I'm Shinichirou's" to Shinichirou. BTW, the name of him seems not "Shinichirou(晋一郎)" but "Fuichirou(普一郎)"... If it's not editor's mistake and "普一郎" is right, it seems to refer "普通学部一浪(failing regular facility entrance exams and retaking them a year later)" lol. Now that makes sense, yay! I was under the impression that it wasn't Harumi talking because that "mesu" and was expecting more trademark hearts with her line, that (and my abysmal grammar) really threw my off lol. Oh wow, thanks for spotting that! This makes things even more amusing because Fuichiro was staying with Harumi and Tooru for his summer course (which he also passed on his first try!) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I checked the kanjis for his name [jisho.org] here and thought "Shin" was the only choice (I really didn't know about "普通学部一浪") with "Fu" not being under "japanese names", damn... I'm curious though: I didn't search for "晋", I took the "Shin" from "普". Does 晋 read as "Shin" too? Thanks a lot Thira, you're the best! ^^

"普" is read as "fu", "pu", "ho", "amane", "hiro", "dainari", "kurashi", "yuki" and "shin". And There are many "普一郎" as "Shinichirou" in Japan, though, I think it's not so popular name.

QUOTE(PeopleDon'tDanceNoMore @ Mar 8 2013, 21:48) [ detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp] http://detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp/qa/qu...ail/q1335057408[ ja.wikipedia.org] http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%82%AA%E3%...%B3%E3%83%93%29Probably something to do with those. オーゴリー could be a typo(!?) or part of the joke or just the equivalent of saying "McDommels", idk... Well, I thought it would be a joke name close to some real life name, but since I'm not such an expert in Japanese culture, I have no idea to what exactly it's referring to. I found that Yahoo page by myself, but I wanted to see if somebody else here had any idea. The wiki page pretty much makes it clear that it's a joke name, since the original seems to be "オードリー" and the person's name is "春日". Guess this one will need a T.N. because I have no idea how to translate it and localizing wouldn't make sense (not that I know how to localize that either).

The names are often used as sources of jokes like the name "Chuck Norris". Also "intentional typos" like "オーゴリー" or "春目" are often used for avoiding Infringement of rights. Because of that, need context for good translation.

Hello, had a small question about the sfx's down right (3rd panel) on this page: https://e-hentai.org/s/3a97aaf4af/470723-152It says " にち、にちゃ" (at least that's what I'm reading there). When looking at the picture, I'd think it means something like "stroke stroke", but I've also read that it could be something like "grin grin", like in " にや にや". Which one is correct? It would be nice if someone could help :-)

Yep, it's kinda "stroke stroke", and often I translate it as "slsk slp" or something.

Hello, again, I need some help with a chapter. This time, it's 5 questions, sorry :-( https://e-hentai.org/s/9075e9ab2f/493495-2304th panel. She saying that she felt lonely living alone and he replies: " え 一戸建てなのにか?" Is he saying "Eh, even though you live in a single house?" like in "Eh, even though you have the luxury of living/owning a single house?" https://e-hentai.org/s/c51a02709c/493495-2323rd panel, second text: " なんつ一体してんだよ!!" Is "Just what a heck are you trying to pull off!!" a proper translation for this? https://e-hentai.org/s/3d056bf028/493495-233First text on the page: " 迫り来るかもしれない危機" Is "The Danger/Crisis of 'I may force her (to something she doesn't want)'" better here, or is "The Danger/Crisis, that I'm possibly acting on a whim" better? Or would something else be better here? https://e-hentai.org/s/f04c046ddf/493495-2353rd panel, he's thinking: " 鋭い目線で涙目とか反則だろ!!" Is "Changing your sharp gaze to teary eyes is just too much!!" ok here? https://e-hentai.org/s/f04c046ddf/493495-2353rd panel, 2nd bubble: " 家に呼んだはいいけどどうしたらいいのかわからなくて..." First I wanted to confirm, it is the girl who says this, right? If yes, then is "Inviting you in the house seemed a good idea, but I didn't know what to do after that..." good here? Thanks in advance for the help! :-) Then

Is he saying "Eh, even though you live in a single house?" like in "Eh, even though you have the luxury of living/owning a single house?" Yeah... I'm not really sure of why the author used なのに... I don't know, maybe it's a typo (I'm not convinced though) and the author meant to write "え 一戸建てなのか?"... QUOTE(mrmuk @ Mar 12 2013, 19:27) https://e-hentai.org/s/c51a02709c/493495-2323rd panel, second text: " なんつ一体してんだよ!!" Is "Just what a heck are you trying to pull off!!" a proper translation for this? It's なんつー体してんだよ‼ (the ー is a long vowel mark, not 一). QUOTE(mrmuk @ Mar 12 2013, 19:27) https://e-hentai.org/s/3d056bf028/493495-233First text on the page: " 迫り来るかもしれない危機" Is "The Danger/Crisis of 'I may force her (to something she doesn't want)'" better here, or is "The Danger/Crisis, that I'm possibly acting on a whim" better? Or would something else be better here? 迫り来るかもしれない ("that may be incoming") describes 危機 ("crisis"), so it's "the crisis that may be incoming" / "the crisis that may result" (I think what he means is: "if I have sex with her against her will, she may kill me"). QUOTE(mrmuk @ Mar 12 2013, 19:27) https://e-hentai.org/s/f04c046ddf/493495-2353rd panel, he's thinking: " 鋭い目線で涙目とか反則だろ!!" Is "Changing your sharp gaze to teary eyes is just too much!!" ok here? It's not exactly "changing." It's more like she has a sharp gaze and teary eyes at the same time. But your translation's okay (in my opinion). QUOTE(mrmuk @ Mar 12 2013, 19:27) https://e-hentai.org/s/f04c046ddf/493495-2353rd panel, 2nd bubble: " 家に呼んだはいいけどどうしたらいいのかわからなくて..." First I wanted to confirm, it is the girl who says this, right? If yes, then is "Inviting you in the house seemed a good idea, but I didn't know what to do after that..." good here? Yes, the girl is the one speaking, But the first part of the sentence is more like "It was a good thing that I managed to invite you in my house."

Ouch, I'm stupid... yes, of course. Guess I was too fixated on 'ittai'. Ok, so ' なんつー' should be '何と言う' if I got it right, so the sentence would be like: "Just what kind of body are you making!!" or better, "Just how sexy is your body?!". Is that about right? I also saw there's a verb " 体する" which means 'to obey', but I guess that would be wrong here, right? QUOTE(KirbyDances @ Mar 12 2013, 14:22) 迫り来るかもしれない ("that may be incoming") describes 危機 ("crisis"), so it's "the crisis that may be incoming" / "the crisis that may result" (I think what he means is: "if I have sex with her against her will, she may kill me").
*banging head against wall* - yes, I should think more about grammar^^ Ok, now I get it how it's meant :-) QUOTE(KirbyDances @ Mar 12 2013, 14:22) It's not exactly "changing." It's more like she has a sharp gaze and teary eyes at the same time. But your translation's okay (in my opinion).
Hm, ok. I used 'changing', because in the story her gaze specifically was described as a 'killer gaze', so I thought it was meant like 'your gaze turned from being sharp and cutting to teary'. Also I thought the ' で' in ' 鋭い目線で' was meant like " from a sharp gaze (to s.th.)". QUOTE(KirbyDances @ Mar 12 2013, 14:22) Yes, the girl is the one speaking, But the first part of the sentence is more like "It was a good thing that I managed to invite you in my house."

QUOTE(mrmuk @ Mar 12 2013, 10:27) え 一戸建てなのにか? Means "Eh? You live alone there even you own whole of a single house?". QUOTE(mrmuk @ Mar 12 2013, 10:27) なんつ一体してんだよ!! Not "なんつ一体" but "なんつー体". And whole of the sentence means "What a body you have!!". QUOTE(mrmuk @ Mar 12 2013, 10:27) 鋭い目線で涙目とか反則だろ!! "Belligerent gaze but teary eyes are over-powered to blow my mind!!" I have a pending translation but i'm weary since this guy is new. I only ask for the thumbs up/down on this since I don't want to waste my time on 30pgs for nothing. Take note i'm more concerned about accuracy in the sense that the correct meaning is there and don't mind a little freehanding like Mangastream does. But if it's full of mistakes that derail the entire thing, please let me know. And like always, thanks for the trouble. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Mmmm did you try comparing it to the complete translation release here? https://e-hentai.org/g/150162/84b9b29c7c/Areshione's translations are a little liberal though (if memory serves correct)
