QUOTE(Comoop @ Nov 11 2017, 13:45) *

Could someone help me with this:
えーまた映画に飽きて勝手に帰っての?
言ってよねー

I have the first part but i don't get what 言ってよね could mean with the sentence before.

Tricky without any context but I'm guessing something like "You could've at least told me" if they're trying to sneak out of the movie theater or whatever.

I have edited my last post, I remembered that I had forgetten the context thanks for your answer, I didn't saw it first.

First could be the girl asking the brother to tell her if that's the case or something.
Second is most likely the guy telling the girl to repeat a phrase she said sometime in the past.

I'm having trouble making out what this means.

今のウチにやっとくコトはやっとかないとな一

A bit of context is that it's a father talking to his daughter. That's why I find it so weird that ウチ is there. I think some wordplay is involved here.

I don't know what 淑然 is, but 宗とする would mean something like treating it with utmost importance or focusing on it.

I don't think there's any word play (there might be but it's hard to tell without more context) - it might just be for particular emphasis on now.

You should do the thing(s) you (need to do / should get done) now [while you still can / before it's too late / etc].

Any advice on the last text bubble on https://e-hentai.org/s/22245ddb7a/784323-124 ?

呪いの紙人形ですか?
よく知ってますよ
先輩達も気をつけてくださいね

"A cursed paper doll? Oh, I know it well."

The last line is something like "Seniors, you should make sure to be careful too..." but I'm not sure how best to phrase it.

Common kanjis that have many strokes like that tend to get abbreviated. 歳 is sometimes written as 才 because it's the same pronunciation and much easier to write.

"You should be careful as well." or something.
Don't need to keep the "seniors", change it to "you" or "you girls" or whatever.

Substituting 歳 with 才 is not the same as writting 魔 as how it's written in Faeldrin's screenshot.
The substitution is called Kakikae
The simplification is called Ryakuji.
In both cases you're substituting one kanji for a simpler one, but when doing kakikae, you substitute one for another existing (or official) one. Like 歳 for 才.
When doing ryakuji, you substitute one kanji for another, simples one that's not an official one. So much so that you can't even type it and will probably never find it in an official document.

As for whether that simplification for 魔 is common or not, I'd guess that it's the "official non-official" simplification.
Other examples include:
(IMG:[upload.wikimedia.org] https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/96/Ryakuji.png)

Some ryakuji have hints in them to help you figure out what it means (in addition to the context, of course). In the 魔 case, it's 广 + マ. So you can understand it as "邪+ 广 + マ" or " 邪 + マ"

You can find a list of some common ryakuji in the wikipedia page about it: [en.wikipedia.org] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryakuji

Awesome post! Now that's definitely something I'll remember in the future.

Kakikae is probably fine since I can still find the simple version in a dictionary. The one I posted was getting me crazy though, since I was wondering just what combination of radicals I needed to input to find it. I could have kept searching for a long time. "You can cover up an image that trivial all you want, even if you might suffer some detriment later on."

That's my wild guess without any context to go with.

I don't really know where to ask this, couldn't find a dedicated thread and if there is one feel free to point me there - but is Mon-Mon on some sort of blacklist? I've noticed there are virtually no translations of it despite plenty of works available.

good day. i'm in need of a little help. i was QCing a script for my translator and then the translator disappeared and their inbox filled up so i'm literally out of options in contacting them. i've even sent them messages on HentaiVerse. i've smoothed the script out quite a bit i just need help on a few pages before i believe this work is release-ready. this script has been sitting on the back burner since August or so.

Primarily need a check on the accuracy of the translation

https://e-hentai.org/s/b8754dc14d/854510-1 <- was not translated. would be appreciated.

https://e-hentai.org/s/12e23be264/854510-2 <- middle right bubble. red text.
i have:
"You wanted to borrow Ueno, right Akira? You can grab it from my room."

https://e-hentai.org/s/2750a7f7e7/854510-3 <- top left and mid right
i have:
Eh!? Wait! It's dangerous out here! We'll get foun-
NNDDDD!

https://e-hentai.org/s/86077587eb/854510-12 cellphone
i have:
Ken-Chan (star)
Where are you, mum?

i also have:
Your son is calling you Naomi
"Calling" seems inaccurate in this context. Contacting maybe? Or did the son start calling her after he texted her?

i also have:
Let's fuck all the way to the day of full moon Naomi
I have no idea what was meant on this line. I believe it's last bubble on the page spoken by the guy

thanks!

おまけ♥ (spread across both sides of the woman) = "Omake♥"
ジュース = juice
そういえばおばさんの名前は直美です! = Oh, yeah... The lady's name is Naomi!

QUOTE(Slobber @ Nov 23 2017, 17:09) *
"You wanted to borrow Ueno, right Akira? You can grab it from my room."

Way off... It's something like "Ueno~ If there's a game you want to borrow, just take it from my room." where Ueno is likely the family name of the one the mother is calling "Akira".

QUOTE(Slobber @ Nov 23 2017, 17:09) *

It's not entirely accurate but not an awful translation.

The first bubble doesn't quite say "it's dangerous out here" - it just says "if we do it here", but the intent is basically the same.
I personally wouldn't have gone with "we'll get found" since the implied meaning is more like "we'll be noticed" / "he'll find out".
The second bubble is just a standard moan (literally "nhiii") - it's not 100% accurate to make it a continuation of the previous bubble but it's not like it matters, really.

QUOTE(Slobber @ Nov 23 2017, 17:09) *
Ken-Chan (star)
Where are you, mum?

Close enough. Literally: "When are you coming (home), mum?"
Or "mom" if you're American and want to butcher the English language, I suppose...

QUOTE(Slobber @ Nov 23 2017, 17:09) *
i also have:

"Calling" seems inaccurate in this context. Contacting maybe? Or did the son start calling her after he texted her?

No, you're correct here. Contacting is what it says.

You could also just go with "Your son (texted/messaged) you, Naomi." / "Your son is trying to get in touch with you, Naomi." or something if you want, since it sounds more natural here than "your son contacted you".

QUOTE(Slobber @ Nov 23 2017, 17:09) *
Let's fuck all the way to the day of full moon Naomi

Literally just says "Let's fuck until the sun rises tomorrow, Naomi!!" or if you prefer "Let's fuck all night long, Naomi!!"

To be honest, I'd be worried about the translation quality of the rest of it, given these lines, but eh...
