QUOTE(KirbyDances @ Apr 4 2016, 22:11) A ガチャ in online games is some kind of lottery: you pay (with either real money, in-game money, or with a ticket you've won) for a random item/bonus/character/whatever. 10連ガチャ is simply the same system, but in which you draw 10 times in a row. It's usually a little bit more efficient than drawing ten ガチャ (it either costs less, or you're guaranteed to get some rare item, or something).
QUOTE(chung2795 @ Apr 4 2016, 22:22) That sounds like 10 consecutive Gatcha (lottery game)
Hmm, I see. I saw on the internet, it's translated as "10 gacha pulls". Is it right?

でくの坊 Muppet 風来坊 Migratory birds Depending on your context, apparently 風来坊 is a famous place for chicken wings and でくの坊 is a place famous for its dishes too This post has been edited by chung2795: Apr 6 2016, 18:10

That doesn't make any sense since it suppose to be someone name. [ www.getchu.com] http://www.getchu.com/soft.phtml?id=562065&gc=gc

If they are people's name then you can just use their pronunciation でくの坊 Dekunobo 風来坊 Furaibo The creators probably used these unusual names as a hint or foreshadowing on their personality and what's going to happen to them. Such as Dekunobo is probably someone that is easily pushed over by others and Furaibo is probably not someone that is loyal etc.

There are several possible translations for these. What I get from Rikai-chan: でくの坊 wooden doll, blockhead, good-for-nothing 風来坊 wanderer, vagabond, capricious person, hobo
And about the 10連ガチャ, if people call it "10 gacha pulls", then I guess it's a sensible translation. I don't know of any English terminology for this term anyway.

QUOTE(chung2795 @ Apr 6 2016, 13:08) I think it's Visual Gynecology
While it does seem likely it's a gynecologist or obstetrician, it's also a pun on 不動産, the word for a real estate company. But that's a joke that doesn't really translate without significantly changing it. The proper Japanese term for ob/gyn is 産婦人科

Any other words suitable for "Ojicon"? I found the word Gerontophile but I don't think someone as young as a kid will have that in his vocabulary

Hello again! Can someone tell me what 御隠居 means in this sentence? Is it like a formal title, like your highness, princess or something like that.
どうしたんですか? 御隠居...具合でも...

Hello hope I can get some help this time (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) 活字や漫画で満足するのはにわかホモスキ-! (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/y4RWu4C.jpg?1) I think I get the 活字や漫画で満足するのは part (the satisfaction I get from books and manga?), but what about にわかホモスキ. I just don't get how にわか works here, it seems to be mostly used as and adverb, にわかに. I've been thinking that maybe that refers to the previously mentioned satisfaction, and suggests that it's something provisional for her (the speaker is a fujoshi, mind you) love for homos, but I'm not sure, what do you guys say?

I expect it's the other way around, looking down on yaoi-lovers who are satisfied with books and manga and essentially calling them newfags. Not true fans. Just following the fad. Going through a phase. see: [ dic.nicovideo.jp] http://dic.nicovideo.jp/a/%E3%81%AB%E3%82%8F%E3%81%8BQUOTE 現代日本のインターネット上で単に「にわか」と言ったら「にわかファン」を指すことが多い。
元々のファンでもないのに、世の中の流行に乗せられて短期間で急速に興味を持った新参が、あたかも古参のご とく背伸びして振る舞おうとする様子を生温かく揶揄する煽りワードもしくは自虐ワード。

I need help with this sentence: 先っぽにやっときゃよかった… This is the page for context. My problem is that I don't know what the きゃ means. I have never seen it before. My guess is that it has something to do with the "just the tip" phrase actually working. Based on the context it seems like it has to do with him wishing he had tried the phrase, or that he is surprised it actually worked.

Correction: 先に instead of 先っぽに. きゃ is slang for -けば, so it means 先にやっとけばよかった. I'd translate it as "I'd have gone first if I knew" or "I should have gone first".

Need some help with two paragraphs... I know what all the words mean but I am not sure about my translation because it doesn't make complete sense. I have removed my tentative translations.
It's an inner monologue of a woman who is about to have sex with a guy who blackmails her, from MTSPs Matome Ban. Some surrounding sentences for context.
これから…セックスして どうなってしまうのか… 自分でもわからない
I wonder how I will react to the sex this time...
あの時のように酔っていなければ いかがわしい薬を含まされても いない…
It won't be like like last time when I was drunk and drugged...
でも…仮にそれでも 快感を得てしまっても 悲観はしない…
???
自分の快楽に対する 弱さはもう自覚させ られているけど…
I have already been made aware of my own weakness for pleasure, but...
それだけのことだと 割り切る…
???

From that I guess that in the next part, 活字や漫画で満足するのはにわかホモスキ, she's pretty much explaining that she loves 2D homos too, but I'm not too sure (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) I think that by にわかホモ she means 'casual homos' (dunno, those who have occasional gay sex or aren't openly gay) and that she loves them, スキ. So I think she might be saying something along the lines of 'The satisfying part about books and manga are those casual homos I love'

Thanks for the help before. I've got another question. This one's handwritten: Can someone help my sleep-addled brain with the kanji to the RIGHT of Mai's shoulder? UF

So I think she might be saying something along the lines of 'The satisfying part about books and manga are those casual homos I love' You're looking at it a bit incorrectly. しか means she only has interest in 3D homos. にわか is not applying to ホモ, but to the entirety of ホモスキ: she's saying that homo lovers (girls who get excited watching guys have sex; yaoi fangirls; etc) are casuals if they're interested in 2D homos.
