QUOTE(Thira @ Jul 11 2015, 18:17) *

All the explanations have been done already...
Why do you split hairs to the trivial things that the author doesn't mention?

What do you mean the author doesn't mention? You yourself have been repeatedly saying "(like this)" and I have been repeatedly asking "What does "this" refer to? What pages is/are "this?". Are you saying that you just don't know what "this" is? It matters knowing what "this" is (if at all possible) because if you don't, you don't know why he is writing the new story. It's not splitting hairs.

QUOTE(Thira @ Jul 11 2015, 18:17) *

Since "typical (stereotyped) unhappy storyline (like this)" is "あんまりくらい" as "エロマンガ", he'll
get rid of the stress by issuing simple (storyless) "エロマンガ".

Look, do you agree with me that the line のもアレなので implies that there was a reason that he wrote the new story, as opposed to it just being a random whim of his? If you agree that there is a reason, do you agree the that reason is because either all or some part of pages 2-28 are あんまりくらい? If you agree with that, what I am asking is, what section specifically are あんまりくらい to the author (pages 2-27, 2-28, or just page 28). If you know specifically what pages he is referring to by あんまりくらい, let me know please. If you do not know whether the part refereed to by あんまりくらい, then let me know that it cannot be identified what part he is specifically referring to.

If you are for some reason having difficulty understanding what the important nuiance I am harking on is, or simply do not understand why your explanation has not be satisfactory clear, I will attempt once more to tackle it from another angle: If page 28 did not exist and was not included in the book, would the あんまりくらい segment still make sense?

And if you are saying that あんまりくらい does not refer anything in page 2-28, then I simply do not understand whatsoever the meaning of that sentence. Roughly speaking, I interpreted it as "Since being too dark (in the story) isn't good, I'm going to draw another story of them in another world line just having sex in a normal setting." If あんまりくらい is just a general thing and doesn't have any relevance or relation to any of the events in pages 2-28, why did he bother saying it? It's like saying "Since leaves are green, I'm going to draw a new story". Certainly the あんまりくらい part has to be relevant to (perhaps a subset of) pages 2-28 in some way, otherwise he could have just wrote 別の世界線的なただえろえろするだけのやつをもういっかいかきます and be done with it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you are simply tired of responding to my questions, then you can just answer the bold portion with a "yes" or "no" if you'd like. As from that answer, I will be able to derive most of what I was trying to understand.
You can guess the author's subjective emotion as you like, nobody except him knows the guessing is right or not though.
I had thought that it might be clear what he was referring to, provided one has a better understanding of Japanese. Apparently, as you are saying, it is not clear what あんまりくらい is referring to even to those of high Japanese level. Ok then. Thank you for bearing with me.
(And I hope that repetition of your quote was accidental. Because if it is not, that would mean you don't understand that the lack of clarity in the Japanese causes a translation issue in the nuance in any English translation of that sentence)
Lol.
That's not the point.
Why do you want to make up something out of nothing?
"Nothing" is completely different from "omissions".
I am at a loss to what you mean by this sentence.
QUOTE(Thira @ Jul 11 2015, 21:49) *
Lol.
That's not the point.
Why do you want to make up something out of nothing?
What are you talking about? What am I "making up"? I am asking questions because I want to know the answer to a question. I am not fabricating anything and I don't understand how you came to the conclusion that I am trying to. Although you might not understand (for whatever reason), my questions had importance. Depending on the answer to my question, the meaning of the sentence is different. That is why it was important for me to understand the sentence. I can translate the sentence, but the referent will be vague. If a Japanese native reads that line and knows what that sentence refers to, I want to make and phrase the English translation more clearly so that readers will also know the referent. As such, knowing the answer to my question will have an effect on the translation. This should not be a foreign concept.
Although I did remove that other line you quoted before you responded to it, I initially included it because you seemed to not only not understand why understanding the sentence is important, but by literally repeating the sentence as if I didn't read it, you seemed to be mocking me for asking for clarification. I removed it because 1) I realized you might have put there again as an honest mistake and 2) if it was actually mocking, I, on second thought, didn't want to get deeper into such a conversation with a person who stoops to that.
Anyways, since even from a few hours ago, I was worried that I wasn't going to get a satisfactory answer for my question, I had sent the mangaka himself the question so that I can put the issue to rest. I have received a response by now, so now I know the answer to my question.
Well then, thanks for taking the time to respond as always, even though it seems my questions were somewhat bothersome to you this time since you didn't see the use of them. You often help me with other translation/meaning questions I have, so I really am appreciative.
What exactly is the term ナガサレ supposed to mean in nagasare kanojo?
Is it a conjugation of 流す? or 流れる
I'll just assume it means "neglected" in this context.
It means "流され易い".
So the "ナガサレ" means "easily moved to emotion/get carried away".
I was wondering if anyone here would be able to help me out and recognise the kanji in these pictures. No translating is need, just OCR work of sorts. Anyone?
It's fine, but personally I'd change "naaa..." to "nhaa..." or "ahnn..."
