Hi guys. I have two questions: 1) On this page, in the sentence 「おちOちん入れるとこよーく確認しておくのよ」, I don't exactly get what she means by とこよーく確認しておく. What exactly about it is 確認'ed? Its exact location? Its physical details/anatomy? What? 2) On this page, I am having trouble understanding what he means by "全部受け入れてあげるからもっとお母さんに甘えて", especially the 受け入れてあげる part in this scenario. Thank you for any assistance.

QUOTE(chung2795 @ Jun 25 2015, 12:32) I need help translating the second panel (>w<) https://e-hentai.org/s/12c8ecc91a/525652-19Thank you in advance (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif), I can't seem to understand what the monologues in the second panel are じゃあ何か俺は兄だから許されてて(奈那に) Ok, so she's fine with me because I'm her older brother 兄だから許されなくて(世間的に) But I am her older brother so that's just no good. コイツはコイツで言い寄る男つつぱねて・・・ But the number of suitors she has isn't a joke... ていうかハードルたけえな!! Come to think of it, our situations are totally different in magnitude!! (Basically, he's saying that his experience of having a single person turn him down doesn't even compare to the problem (or number) of suitors that Nana has. Just curious but...how would you people usually do with accent speaking such as にゃんだって(nyandatte) にゃんと(nyanto)
I know what it mean, but I feel that translate these normally might be rude to it's original work, if your translation is not for subbing anime(where you can hear how the character said it) (and I feel that I need to know it at the very least. Since I'm one of those that learn Japanese by anime/manga)
ps; I use cat accent cause it's common and all I need is some example, other kind of example is also welcome(edit; rather, please give me other example that's not cat related).thankyou

For those two, if you want to get adventurous, you could go with something like "Holy catnip!" or "I'll be meowed". Personally, I think that cat references like this tend to get the nuance across.

Thanks, your advice helped, but it won't work if the word is linked to something else such as"にゃんと、にゃんと、今なら半額だにゃ" got other example that's not cat related so I can figure out it's basis? The way I see it, it's about taking phrases that could be used in that situation, and changing them to suit the nuance you want to get across. Like having a bear character put "polar" or "un bearable" everywhere. In this case, "come one, come all!" or something like that would be fitting. Your example could be spiced up with a "and that's kitten me own throat", too, but not everyone would get the reference. This post has been edited by CapableScoutMan: Jun 25 2015, 16:51

hmm...might be able to get it through by explaining it on the credit page first. let me hear your opinion about it. also, what about cases that's not animal related?(aside from " -gozaru". "nin-nin" "-aru" etc which is quite easy) come to think of it,"-gozaru" might be not that easy based on how it's used This post has been edited by LasXeno: Jun 25 2015, 17:09

The same, you take a phrase that might be used in that situation and mess around with to give it the nuance you want. For example, if someone is saying "this will surprise/please you", you could take the phrase "it'll knock your socks off" and change it to "it'll knock your (something) off". What that something is depends on the context, whatever it is. -gozaru can be replaced with unnecessarily formal language, by the way.

It's best to just show the accent only for part that it's easy to understand(and/or when they just say a word or two) and translate it normally on everything else for the animal accent I guess. Will figure out the rest myself.thank you very much. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This post has been edited by LasXeno: Jun 25 2015, 17:42
