You could maybe go with 'warming up'. I think the tsukkomi-ish vibe would be easier to convey with a more liberal TL, like 'You guys are taking way too long warming up'.
No.
"[en.wiktionary.org] warm up (5)" is completely different from "[en.wiktionary.org] break in (3)".

Also, since his line treats the girls as "sex machines", "tame" doesn't fit as the translation.

But he'd fundamentally be saying the same thing, and it would seem more natural than 'breaking in', especially when used without an object (i.e. 'breaking in' vs 'breaking smt in'). 'Warming up' is also used generally for 'preparing for smt', like (2.) here: [www.thefreedictionary.com] http://www.thefreedictionary.com/warm+up . 慣らし has a similar vibe, so 'warming up' seems optimal in this case.

I know it doesn't really convey the idea that he's treating them as machines, but 'breaking in' / 'running in' sounds too out of place to fix that issue.

No.
As I already mentioned,"break in" is performed only once before practical use, and "warm up" is performed everytime before use.

I don't see how it makes a difference. It's not like he's talking about actual machines, so although it's a more liberal TL, the underlying meaning doesn't change significantly. My problem with 'breaking in' is that it just sounds out of place, while 「ナラシ」 itself doesn't, so I'd rather translate it as 'warming up' to keep the original vibe intact.

That's a problem about limitations of your sense of words.

This.
Seems you can't realize that this "ナラシ" doesn't fit the scene even in Japanese.

That's the point.
He doesn't use a word "調教" because he doesn't treat them as humans or animals.

I think you underestimate how unnatural the literal TL sounds. 「ナラシ」 is clearly more readily comprehensible than 'breaking in', so a liberal (accurate-ish) TL is bound to be better. Not sure if 'warming up' is ideal there, but I figured any (somewhat accurate) expression is an improvement over the literal one.

But then again, that's just my opinion. I have no idea how well it reflects that of the readers, so I guess you could be right.

The previous lines don't seem very helpful, so you might want to post a link to the page. It's something along the lines of:

"Turning '0' into '100' requires quite a lot of mana (/ int / magic power etc), but if your feelings connect (or 'if you're in sync with each other' or smt), you can make it large”. /// assuming the last part should be 「でかくできるぞ」

I don't know if I can, but I'll try to ask here. I want to ask for a doujinshi reprint or a digital copy in japanese, and I want to know if someone can traslate this sentence for me.

"If it's impossible to have a reprint, there will be at least a digital copy?"

Thanks in advance.

The history is about a girl who summoned a demon to grant her one wish, which is to Atou-kun (the boy in the pics) to be in love with her. The problem came when because of her lack of summoning skills fel, the demon, didn't have enough power to do a thing. So in order to obtain more power the summoner had to be corrupted and that is what is suppose to be happening in the pics.

I hope that helps

Again, i hope that all i wrote is understandable. I'm still not confident in my english, nor in my japanese for that matter. >_<
Anyway, thank you very much.

Hello, I'd like to get some input on romanizing a few names in katakana.
The setting is a generic western-like fantasy world. Dragons, knights, princessess, you get the idea.

コールラル
The name of a geographic region.
My ideas:
Corlar
Corular
Colral
Colural

アンサンドラ
The name of a princess.
My ideas:
Ansandora
Annsandra
Annesandra
Ann Sandra
Anne Sandra

クラナリア
The name of a country.
My ideas:
Clanaria
Cranalia
Clanalia
Cranaria

ロレント
The name of a king.
My ideas:
Lorent
Laurent

Thank you.

Hi, just a few questions. Any help would be very welcome.

1) On this page, what does the whole 「ようある………(か どうかはよう知らんが)」mean?

2) And on this page, what does 「棗を / オンナとしてスキになっていっちゅう俺も じゅうぶん〝所詮 オトコ″で」 mean? Is like something like: "Even the me / who was doing what ever I wanted with Natsume (as a girl) “am just a guy” after all" or something?

3) On the same page, iis 「人のことは言えんのじゃろうな…………とか。」something like "I guess…………the pot’s calling the kettle black here." in meaning?
--------------------------------
Some less urgent concern questions:
1) In the last bubble here, is ちっくと some dialectal version of ちょっと?

2) Does 「 もうちとお願いするがで?」on this page mean something like "I will ask for (you to do something) with me, okay?" ? Is the もうち really もう うち?

Something like リプリントができないならせめてデジタル版をいただけませんか?. Literally smt like "If you can't reprint (it), could I at least have a digital version?".

Since 魔力 is read as 「ちから」, a better TL would be smt like:

"Turning '0' into '100' requires quite a lot power, but once we've synced, we can make it huge." /// smt

By 'it', I assume he means his own power.

QUOTE(terad @ May 4 2015, 22:49) *

コールラル
I'd go with Coleral or smt, since it isn't コルラル.

アンサンドラ
Anne Sandra (could have a dash between the names)
Or simply 'Ansandra' or something.

クラナリア
Clanaria

ロレント
Lorent

Google might help too, but in case you just want a quick second opinion, I picked the ones I felt sound best.

1a) Some suggestions: "It's that common thing... (or maybe not that common) /// "It's a common occurrence... (or maybe not, I don't know)" /// alt (partly more accurate, partly less so): "I'm.... not sure whether it's common or not."

The meaning is the same as that of 「よくある。。。(かどうかは知らないけど)」.

2a) It means smt along the lines of "Just a man, after all" or "(to be) a man, after all".

3) Your TL is pretty close. An alternative could be smt like "I guess I'm not really one to talk.... or something like that." /// or smt.

His lines look pretty damn difficult to translate as a whole though. He's basically saying smt like:

"Falling for Natsume as a woman like this, I am "in the end, just a man" and

I guess I'm not really one to talk.... or something."

... or something like that.

1b) Google gave this as the first result: [www.katsurahama.jp] http://www.katsurahama.jp/window_enjoy_tosaben.html

2b) (In that case...) I'll have you do it a bit more, ok? /// or smt like that
