Alright, another problem came up so I'm back here again. The one I'm having problem with is the following part in the following image (Page 15 of the Navy book "Shibo Seieki Machine").

先輩は大人ですから！　小さい子がこんな事するなんて駄目です！

No matter how I look at it these two sentences conflicts each other. For now the translation is

先輩は大人ですから！　小さい子がこんな事するなんて駄目です！
"Because Senpai is an adult! Small children are not allowed to do this kind of stuff."

I have a couple of explanations, but I'm not completely satisfied with any of them. The first explanation is that the first sentence could "be Because you want to be treated as an adult?", but it is a long shot and there are a couple of subtle changes that should have been made if that was the case. So as I said, this is a long shot. The more plausible explanation lies in the context. That she should untie him because she's an adult. The previous sentence is

やっぱり駄目です先輩！　お願いですからこれを解いて下さい！
We can't do this after all, Senpai! I'm begging you, please untie me!

So possibly he calls her an adult to appease her and make her untie him but then let's out his true thoughts in the next sentence. The last possible explanation I came up with is that it's a mistake by the author. I would prefer not having to use that card tho.

I watched Working!! a few years ago but IIRC the main character has a non-sexual fetish for small/cute things. My understanding of that line is that he has an image in his mind of how a small girl should behave and he doesn't want her to betray that. She may be an adult but she is still a small girl (in size).

BTW, your image link doesn't work. Don't copy the URL of the image because those are dynamically generated by e-hentai and loaded through H@H.

Sorry, but that's unlikely. It's a part of the setting (of the original work) that he always calls her small so I doubt the author would change that. I will probably just go with something along the lines of what I suggested earlier.

This "大人" means "sensible person" and "小さい子" means "premature (to do it)".

Well. we reached a conclusion in the actual release thread. We think there's a silent pause in between the sentences. Thus the first sentence is said to appease her, the second one is accidentally said which makes her angry again. The wording has not been finalized, but it should be something similar to the original translation.

Too bad about the image, didn't wanna bother making an external link for it but I guess it doesn't work that easily huh.

Oops, I was totally wrong. Sorry, I didn't notice the 「アタシ」 in アタシは小さくないよ（怒） in that pic.

Dammon and Thira are right, he basically says 'Sempai, you're an adult (don't act so immature)! Little girls shouldn't do a thing like this!". He doesn't say anything by accident.

They don't contradict. 小さい子 refers to her physical stature rather than her age.

Yeah, but first saying that they are an adult and then calling them a child still seems weird (at least when written in English). Since there is a lot of focus on "being adult" in their relationship I'm having trouble with how to put that in English. Because Takanashi admitting that she's an adult would feel weird. That's why we went with a pause and used the following.

"Because Senpai is an adult!" or "Because you're an adult, Senpai!"

... //To show that there is a pause.

"Small children are not allowed to do this kind of stuff!"

I feel like most of the problems I'm having with these lines are centered around the word adult. I could use premature in the following sentence but that kinda feels like a step away from the original setting. By now I'm so confused that I should probably just try to reset the translation on these lines and start from scratch on them.

Edit: In this case the second line is him "correcting" himself. Kinda like "Senpai is not an adult, she's a small child after all.".

I've seen this a few times at the end of the forward-note by a few authors. Is there a direct translation into english or not really?

More context is necessary for all of these (except the third one). A short description for each would do.

"6." depends entirely on the context. It could be 'umph' or 'here we go' or "heave-ho" or something.

Is that an onomatopoeia? If it is it looks like it's coming from the wrong hole.

It's んふっ. It's literally just 'nfu', or something like 'mph' etc. It's not an onomatopoeia, and she's presumably saying it out loud.
