Okay this manga has a strange ending and I'd like to make sure I got it right. I'm not sure what happened. First the background:

>> guy and two girls drive a car off a cliff

>> they stay in a cottage and the guy has sex with one

Then one of the girls says she can see a light and runs into the cottage to tell the guy.
パパ! 光が見える!

He says:
やった! 助かる! 助かる、ひな。。。 (Hina is her name.)
[i60.tinypic.com] http://i60.tinypic.com/o55ow5.png

Then he looks uneasily at the girl he had sex with.
Then as she calls for rescuers he looms behind her and seems to close the door behind her.
[i60.tinypic.com] http://i60.tinypic.com/2zoetu0.png

He says, "It's finished. Let's sleep now."
[i57.tinypic.com] http://i57.tinypic.com/149w7j9.png

And you see skeletons under the car wreck.

My interpretation of this is all three of them died when the car went over the cliff and they've been ghosts this whole time. But what about the light? Did the other girl die and is now following the light to go to heaven or something, or was she the only one to live and now he is shutting her outside the cottage because she is going to be rescued? I also don't get what happened to the two of them, but the title of the work is "Utopia."

You went quite paranormal with your interpretation (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)
At the end Nanami's father and Hina decided to stay in the cottage and to do so the guy killed his real daughter. Everything in order to preserve their "Utopia".
You can see how the father nods at hina in page 401, then he kills nanami (whos trying to grab the attention of the rescue party/light) and finally puts her body in the car.

"やった! 助かる! 助かる、ひな。。。" This part here denotes how he's exited about getting saved until he turns to Hina and realizes their utopia it's going to end the moment they are rescued.

Ah that makes sense too, thanks, I'll go with that explanation. And somehow his transplanted daughter's body remained under the car long enough that it became a skeleton.

Including some of the Japanese probably makes it easier on the editor, but at a minimum you need some sort of comments to help direct where text goes. For example, [next panel, upper left] or [box, left corner]. That's generally how I do my own scripts.

Alright, since I did it one time in the past (and Shanko was nice enough to accept my script), I'll do a quick fix for ya:

I've got one more question on some handwritten text.

Attached Image

The bubble in question is the thin one in the upper left corner. My best guess right now is "五も是非", but I'm not terribly confident. As context, a new prostitute has just been cummed on by one man and has been told to ask all the others to do the same.

Anyone have a second opinion?

I think that is indeed what's written (well, that's what I read too), but 五 stands for 吾.

@Thira, that's exactly what I wanted it to be, I just can't see it myself. Then again, my own handwriting is atrocious, so who am I to judge?

Thanks for chiming in, Thira!

I've got another question if you don't mind. This one is a different doujin.

Attached Image

I'm not sure what the freetext in the middle should be. It looks like "もうヌレヌトや~" to me (Mitsune speaks Kansai-ben). But if that's what it is, I really don't know how to translate it. Any thoughts? As context, the two girls are watching Keitaro screw Motoko (love hina), and seem amazed that he's acting like a bad-ass instead of a dishrag.

looks more like ヌレヌレ than ヌレヌト imo, but I don't know what it means, either

Wow, now that you say it, it's hard to see it as anything other than nurenure. I think I was getting thrown off because the character almost overlaps the "ya."

Thanks to all three of you!

I've got a few questions about a doujin I'm currently translating. The doujin in itself is pretty straightforward to translate. However, the preface is made of two Great Walls of Text. Now, I've translated them, but there are still a few points I'm not completely sure of, and that is why I would like to request your help.

I've drawn red boxes around the parts for which I need help in the following pictures (the pictures with the red boxes are too small to see what's written in them, but it's just to give an idea of where to search in the original pictures).

First, on this page (red boxes [i1241.photobucket.com] here):
- Is the first part "心産まれる"? (The only character I'm not sure of is 心.) And, if it is, does it mean something like "falling in love [for no apparent reason]" (that's the meaning I inferred from the context, but I'm not sure at all that I got it right).
- The second part is "フフフのフ". I'm not sure I understand what this means. To me "フ" is the first character of "フフフ", so it could mean something like "It's only the beginning", but it's nothing more than a wild guess inspired by the context.
- The third part is "納得ずくめで". First, I want to know if, like I think, this is just a common mistake for (or maybe another way to say) "納得ずくで". And I would also like to know how broad the meaning of the whole sentence "納得ずくめでやれたおとなどただの一度もないのだけれど。" is (for context, just read the previous sentence "今回の制作では満足、というかナットクがいかないことが多かったのだった"). Does it only apply to anime? Or is it more general than that?

Then, on this page (red boxes [i1241.photobucket.com] here):
- What is the first kanji in the first red box? "?上げした"... I just can't read it...
- I think there's a character missing at the end of the second box (because of the blank). "ち"? "つ"? Also, I read "色々ン持[blank]メニュー", but I'm not sure I'm reading it right at all (especially the ン, which looks very strange)...
- And, finally, I think there's also a missing character in the last box (again, because of the blank). "やたらとトバス[blank]け". "だ"?

Thanks for your time.
