QUOTE(Crystalium @ Jul 15 2014, 08:57) *

Hi, I have a few quick questions.

1) On this page in the bottom section, does 子供作るの認知なんかしなくてもいいから mean "You don’t need to acknowledge our child-making"? And is the following line なんでもするからせんせーの子種を something like "(Because) I’ll do anything to have/bear Sensei’s chil---" ?

2) On the same page, who is saying the line 「わかった発情期なのね!」? [I am thinking it is the girl]

3) On the next page in the bottom section, what is the character after 心 in the phrase 「ふくざつな心Oです」?

Thanks for any help with this.

QUOTE(KirbyDances @ Jul 15 2014, 09:24) *

First line: ejje.weblio.jp/content/認知 -> 認知する acknowledge [recognize] "a child" as one's own.
Second line: "I'll do anything, so make me pregnant with your children."

No, I think it's the sensei. You should read it "わかった! 発情期なのね!", so something like "Okay, I got it! You're in heat, right?"

QUOTE(Crystalium @ Jul 15 2014, 09:44) *

Thanks as always for the quick help.

The first line is wrong, 子供作るの認知...
"You don't have to think of it as making babies"
So you kinda had it closer the first time

The second part of that is also literally [give me] your sperm, not make me pregnant blah blah but that's a minor nitpick

子供作るの認知なんかしなくてもいいから
This isn't single line.
"子供作るの" and "認知なんかしなくてもいいから"
So, it's like:
"I'll have your baby" and "You don't need to acknowledge(/recognize) the child as your own"

"子供作るの" and "認知なんかしなくてもいいから"
Oh! Of course! That sure sounds better.

(I had written something else, but Thira provided a better answer in the meantime.)

Edit: by the way:

Though the literal translation is "give me your sperm", the meaning is "make me pregnant" (because she's not asking for his sperm to add it to her sperm sample collection) and the latter sounds better in English.

Guys, the text said 子種, not 種子. Isn't the former "offspring/child" and the latter "seed/(by extension) sperm/semen"? Or do they both mean "seed"?

---------------------
On a completely unrelated note, I have this issue that is irking me. On this page, is the line「 本当によくわかんねえコイツ!」saying "I seriously don't get her at all!" or "She seriously doesn't get it!" or are both sentences legitimate possibilities? I had thought it was the latter, so that is what I used in the translation, but only now did it hit me that maybe the former could have been the meaning.

According to an online dictionary (EDICT) 子種 can mean both children and semen. Although in the context I still would go with "make me pregnant" since they're also talking about her breeding period (she has something animalistic after all).

In this context, it just means "semen" and refers "creampie".

QUOTE(Crystalium @ Jul 15 2014, 15:28) *
is the line「 本当によくわかんねえコイツ!」saying "I seriously don't get her at all!"
This.

QUOTE(Crystalium @ Jul 15 2014, 15:28) *
or "She seriously doesn't get it!"
If it means this, the sentence should be "本当によくわかってねぇなコイツ".

Pretty certain it's the first one.

Back again. Two quick questions.

On this page, in the box with「雑誌を見ながらお互いの反応を探りながら」, does お互いの反応を探り mean something like "finding out each other's reactions".

On the next page, why does 「今日で日直も最後か…」(which I have tentatively translated as "Today is our last day on day duty…") end in か? Is he saying it like "So today is our last day of day duty, isn't it?" ?

1) more searching for each other's reactions/responses than finding out imo. Finding out sounds so definite in my ears.

2) More a doubting tone I guess, would use "isn't it?" if it ended in ね. So maybe something along the lines of:
"So today is really the last day of day duty(, huh)?..." I could be wrong ofc, noob alert ~~.

This type of "か" just means a impression and a soliloquy.
Not a question nor a doubt.

Hi there!

I'm about to finish a new translation, but i'm having trouble with one particular expression.
The last time I came here, I got great help from you guys. So i'm trying again. ^^

Here's the word: ずりーぞ

I can't seem to find it anywhere and it's the first time I see it.
My guess would be some sort of "Cheese~" because the guy is handling a cellphone, but i'm far from sure since it's not in katakana. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Any hints about this?
Any help is appreciated. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Oh, that's better for sure. ^^

I think i'll go for "dirty/naughty" then, it fits nicely.

Thanks a lot Thira!

I'm often lost with those slangs... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Neet Corp (Outou Chieri) Ecchi-ku Na~ru de Ecchi-ku Na~ru!? (Smile Precure)

Page:4
I got it!! << more like a tennis grunt (or I guess volleyball grunt), not really a major problem
Panel3
(Black-haired girl): Akane is as amazing as I’d heard. << やっぱ doesn't really refer to hearsay and translating it as such is clumsy at the very least. "Akane really is amazing!"
(Blond): Nobody could stop an attack like that. <<
Panel4
There’s nothing that can stop her. << Already completely wrong. Akane saying "That's not true at all" to be humble
Panel5
Hehehe

Page:5
Panel 1
(Voice): She carelessly drank the poison. Cure Sunny- << クスリ is drug/medicine, not poison
Panel 2
Akane: M-Majorina!? What are you doing here!? <<
Even if you notice me, it’s too late now. << Just clumsy.
Panel 3
The world is mine!! This is the worst outcome for you. << A complete rewrite along with the next line
You’ve been poisoned the battle is over. << Both lines together literally say something like "The worst possible ending for the world! It'll be stained with 'bad end'!" (I see that バッドエンドプリキュア is some kind of evil precure version, but I'm not nearly familiar/do not care enough to think of a good translation, just pointing out how made up the translation is getting. Also not sure if バットエンド is spelled wrong on purpose, but it even has its own entry [dic.pixiv.net] http://dic.pixiv.net/a/バットエンドプリキュア )
Panel 4
[small bubble] Tch…
The white pages will be painted black! << *future of* white pages (again no idea if this is a reference to anything)
Panel 6
Ah, no good… if that happens then everyone …<< if this happens → at this rate (for a literal translation of このままだと)
If it comes down to this… <<

Page 6
Panel 2
Pretty cure!!
Smile charge!!
Panel4
Sunny!!
The brilliant sun, hot blooded puff! << lol, misreading パワー (power) as パフー (pufuu???!?!)
Panel5
Cure Sunny!! <<

Page 7
Panel1: Alright then, here I go. <<
Panel2:
Majori- <<
[left bubble] Guh! <<
Panel3
Wha- What’s this…? <<
Feels like the power is draining from my… << slight rewrite, 身体に力が(入らない), better adapted to "I can't move" or something
Panel4
Fufufu <<
Panel5
I wonder if this has something to do with it. << "I wonder if you know what this is?" (weirdly rewritten)
Panel6
Th-That! Isn’t that the sports drink I had earlier!? <<

Page 8
Panel1
How did that happen!? << weird rewrite again, more like "What did you do!?"
Panel2
When you were in a daze, playing volley ball << lol again, 夢中 here doesn't mean "in a daze", means engrossed in. Also doesn't explicitly say "volleyball" but 珠遊び → ball game
I was able to prepare the poison, that’s how. << Again poison. "I took the liberty of spiking your drink"
Panel3
I call it… ‘ecchi-ku na-ru’!! << as if anyone would get what that's supposed to mean; become perverted (lack of effort on my part)
Panel4
[top half word bubble] When this poison is consumed, your body becomes hot << poison... Doesn't say "your body", says "No matter who drinks it, their body immediately becomes hot"
[lower half word bubble] And you begin to have lewd feelings << awkward.
Panel5
[ small top left bubble] tch…
Exactly like how you are now. <<
