In that case try with shockwave flash type, I don't know about your blog's limits but tumblr (for example)
can accept swf uploads. As for softwares I've heard that Macromedia is the most appropriate software for
making excellent intros, flash animations or games, but the application is quite complex.
Personally I'm using SwishMAX 4, is limited comparing to Macromedia but it's very easy to use :]

it creates it's own liceance free builds "though they ask for atleast a mention if you sell you game".... so you could just have a link to a self install, good to go....

if you are looking to make something that actually plays in browser, Unity is pretty easy, and can play as a flash game. but you cant sell your game.

give me a sec to make a build of one of my old throwaways as an examp for you

Yus! Finished art for the Kalifa one! Now I have to introduce the text and I can upload it to my blog (I won't make a "game" of it yet).

FYI it's 33 base images plus 5 bonus. And as you might have seen in the previews, art is much better than the Nico Robin one.
