Try reading the patch notes.

I think the problem with the monster lab was that the cost was way too low when you factor in the immaturity of the users on here.



Creating your first monster should of cost 10 chaos tokens instead of just 1. Then you wouldn't of seen such a flood of goofy names. At the very least, people would of put more thought into the characters.

Personally, id rather see the beastiary be kept to villains and monsters from Final Fantasy or other RPG games, small time villains from anime or villains from other video games. No good guys like Rey Ayanami or Frodo Baggins and no celebrities.

Does anybody honestly think that these things didn't go through Tenboro's head when he created the monster lab? I highly doubt he was naive enough to think that if he made something like this open to every member that there would be a fair share of penis monsters or Mecha Dickzillas.

It was (is) an amusing experiment. And if Ten was ok with the total chaos, he wouldn't have set (some) rules and create the report stupid monsters thread...

Manga/anime characters as HV monsters? Well, that's original... No, I have no plans to add any of them (except possibly one based on myself).

I suspect, from the date of the last post, that the discussion has since moved on, but I'm still catching up. Anyway, here's my 2 cents: I really don't care if people create monsters with stupid names. Though clever names would be better, obviously. It's just a game, guys...

Are we going to have an option to delete our monsters in later updates?

And how do you guys find out who created a particular monster?

I think generic monsters are fine, as long as they're not too generic. Like naming an undead monster "Undead".
I don't want to be fighting a bunch of named anime characters all the time. Fighting some generic monsters like "Vampire", "Black Dragon", or "Disgruntled Moogle" is fine.

I wouldn't call "Disgruntled Moogle" generic. "Vampire", however, does show a stunning lack of imagination.
