Problems when you can one shot, you are not using curative that much nor even supportive

well if you can oneshot anything regarless, then t's time to change difficulty
another trick is targeting only non resistand monsters so one or two survives and then you go enter theft casting everyting you need
i also do all arenas in hard-heroic to spam spells

i am already playing on hard and killing monsters on heroic or nightmare is hardly worth it when you can't reach atleast 200 rounds on an exquisite

Arena is a different story. Those things don't last 200 rounds yet. I play those on atleast nightmare, except for the lvl 110+ arena's. That's still on heroic or hard (the arena's with 2 bosses and tons of sub bosses at once)

Edit: And dying when you are also trying to level your really lvl 160+ gear , because you want to raise your supportive and curative proficiencies a little isn't the smartest thing that you want to do. If you really wanted to raise those proficiencies , do it in the arena.
Clearing those will refill your hp and mp and that's a nice way and cheap way to get some proficiencies, not at a long round IW or when you are doing 1000+ rounds normalfest

But the normal place that people level their profieincy is to IW a crude or flimsy item on cake

staff prof is so slow. i seem to be getting more cloth armour prof than staff prof when training in IW

Another reason why i don't like fire spells, even though tier 3 spells are available earlier is that the aura's that gives you fire ratings are useles for a pure mage.

edit: staff rating is a pain to level normally.

i agree...

once you can aoe one shot mobs, you will not get much chances to get some staff prof. even getting cloth prof is pretty hard.

what i do occasionally to level my staff and cloth prof is to do cake grindfest and staff melee the monsters.

If you want to go deep into Itemworlds and do them on harder levels then you need to conserve mana. You can use ET but thats a pain most of the time. Using channeling at the start of a run to cast all your spells on yourself is a good way to save a lot of mana. Then for the first 50-100 rounds when the monsters don't hit very hard cast a tier one spell then a tier 2-3 spells on the monsters with Coalesced Mana to finish them off.

Normally I take 10 godly mana and 3 mana elixirs or a Last elixir and I'll use most of them when doing BT if I go +260 rounds. I try not to use the elixirs if I don't need to, but then I don't like to use ET in IW so if I have to I'll pop them before I sit there and beat heads for 50 turns

I guess that i am a cheapskate for only taking 4 greater ,4superior and 2 godly mana potions with me all time

3 average hp pots and 8 average mp pots... if hyl is cheapskate then what about me?

well i do need those potions to clear the lvl 295 excquisite bought from hito. Before buying that high lvl iw item, i only needed average mana potions (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I accidently leveled it up , so it's lvl 296 now

damn.. to level my average things to level 120+ i need 8 superior mana potions

i am use lesser potions and doing IW normal,but not much i doing raunds on all section ,just finidh arenas and doing some grindfest and somedays IW ,my daily raunds 94 overall
