Given that SP Stance still doesn't get any benefits at all from having high OC boost in this patch, I'll take it that the direction of melee will focus more and more on skill. I hate it, but there's nothing I can do about that. If that's the case, at least make skill actually useful on a more ... ' bottom-line' basis. TBH while the melee skills are better than in 0.6.3 patch, but because of how the whole skill system works, most are still have too much of a ' boss-killing special attack' feel to it, so it still sucks not good enough regardless... The complexity increased to melee gameplay due to skill didn't even give more firepower to melee; reducing it, even... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Maybe the ability to switch weapon set in-battle will remedy this. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I like the new Interference mechanics btw. Still not sure what to say about the burden change, though, but it seem that lots of people complains... PS. Meh... I try hard not to make this post look like a complain, but apparently that's impossible to do without lying. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Considering the precedents, you better not complain or he'll just make every enemy as strong as a Legendary (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

It IS a complaint (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Personal view: Tenb is reluctant to add supportive skills because it will produce perma-melee problem. A switch in equipment set MAY work, but then there may be more 'balancing'. Not sure if you want that

Just weapons will do. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Changing the entire equipment set in-battle doesn't make sense, anyway... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

QUOTE(buktore @ Feb 3 2012, 10:10) Maybe the ability to switch weapon set in-battle will remedy this. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I've been thinking of suggesting this for some time now. It would be useful and add a nice touch to the fights, like choosing the best spell from one's arsenal to face the various monsters. Something limited to weapons only from two/three sets and that takes a turn to perform wouldn't unbalance anything and add some depth to meleeing: face the mobs with your 2H or niten set and when you get to a boss switch to sword&board or DW and focus on the big guy. It could be an ability, so who wants it can get it and those who don't can just brute force their way through as they've always done. Also, it would be nice if one could switch the full equipment sets on the character stas page too to compare the effects on the derived attributes on the fly. That'd be way less cumbersome than repeating "equip page"/"switch"/"stats page" over and over again. This post has been edited by Hoheneim: Feb 3 2012, 14:07

well to be fair, he'd only be able to reach the tail/legs at best. and if it flies? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) but yeah, the HS matters a lot IMO. and blame that RNG

We asked for this a looooong time ago. Almost as long ago as when we asked for a second quickbar. We even discussed it at great length. QUOTE(mr daniels @ Feb 3 2012, 16:12) is Tenboro playing around with the forum font

The new big fonts are weirding me out, man.

It has to do with you monitor's dpi. 1pt = 1/72 inches 1px = 1/{your monitor's dpi} inches The old font size was 10px. now it's 8pt. This post has been edited by sigo8: Feb 4 2012, 03:13

Yeah. Upon closer inspection, I can see that thread titles and quoted texts are bigger now. No change to regular post text, but maybe that's just change blindness. Edit: QUOTE(sigo8 @ Feb 4 2012, 02:11) It has to do with you monitor's dpi. 1pt = 1/72 inches 1px = 1/{your monitor's dpi} inches
