I normally enlarge the text on my browser a couple of times to reduce eyestrain when I read posts. I use Firefox and yesterday after it updated to the latest version, I noticed that quoted text in the Ambience skin, which I use, remained at the small default size while the other text on the forum enlarges properly.
It only does it here at E-H in the Ambience skin. I tested it in the Fusion and that weird-ass Applied skin and those both enlarge the text in quotes normally. Any reason why it's doing that? I'm not sure if it's a browser issue or a forum issue.
It's never done this before after my browser has updated and I've noticed that Tenboro's been tweaking stuff on the forum so could it possibly be from that?
Haven't touched the layout lately, but Firefox has been known to dick around with fonts before between major versions.
Incidentally, I have been meaning to increase the font size on the forum since the default ones are freaking tiny, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
This is the first time I've ever seen this happen in all the years I've used Firefox but I'm relieved to know I'm not the only one experiencing it. It's anything that's in quotes, whether it be a quoted forum post or something copy-pasted and wrapped in the quote tags. That sucks when I want to quote dumb YouTube comments in my rant thread for fun only to see the text as being really small and unreadable. Or something from Wikipedia, etc. And it's really painful to try and read the bits of text that people here on the forum have quoted when they respond to someone's post.
I don't mind increasing the text size myself but it does stretch out the sidebar a bit so if you want to increase the default size, that would be cool.
So I finally got around to look at the stylesheet. Turns out the fucking idiot who wrote it specified font sizes in pixels instead of points, which is why it's been getting smaller as pixel densities have increased.
Might be just a tad big, yeah. I didn't have much time to spare, so I mostly just changed pixels to points, but I'll look at it a bit closer when I have some time.
Edit: How about now? (Might have to force a refresh.)
